JBL monitor system
A monitor system is a must for working in any DAW. Tune your Monitors to the room. Like any gear, you must become familiar with it. It is not a microwave oven with one button, "Genius". You have to read a bit but you must adjust the volume levels. As far as 5"... They put out great sound. My workspace would have made it difficult with my choice, The 8-inch monitors'. JBL is GREAT
JBL is THE name in home speakers. I've never owned a pair of studio monitors, and I probably didn't even need these, but I got a sweet deal on the price so I went for it. They are very well made and deliver an extremely true and crisp sound, which is the whole point of studio monitors. They are strong and crisp in the mid and high ranges, and even though they should be paired with a JBL separate bass speaker, the little woofers do an ok job of delivering a little punch. They are not strong on bass is what I am saying, but they are not supposed to be. All in all the speakers are really great and they live up to the quality you would expect from JBL. If you want to pair them with the JBL bass speaker, you'd have a fantastic set up.Lire l'avis complet...

Another killer from JBL.
I use these for a home studio. There is a high degree of both spectral and spatial detail presented. They are simply awesome. For a 5 inch driver, the bass is very nice. It won't make your pants flap, but you trade that for the resolution and "honesty". I do all sorts of mostly electronic music from "space" to EDM, and hearing my Roland System-8 and my Akai MPC live through these for the first time just floored me. Better than I expected
This JBL 5" was much better than I expected...and I was expecting a lot! I already had an 8-inch and 7-inch JBL, which sound great for my listening room, and this was a very nice addition. It sounded great right of the box and I find myself using them more than the other speakers (Yamaha HS, KRK, NHT, and others). Highs are clear, lows are great, and a really good overall sound. Highly recommended.

For the price - amps included, it sounds fantastic. I spend a lot of money on stereo and this is a great value for the price. One has to spend much more to get a better set of speakers. Unbeleavable at this price.
I got these new for like 40% off msrp. The sound is clean, responsive, and has a wide sweet spot. A great monitor set for around 300, the best monitor set for under 200.
