Beast of a recorder plays VHS tapes with excellent video and audio.

For clarification, I'm writing this in 2020 and I mainly use the S-VHS recorder for playing VHS tapes, don't do much recording. However, I can say that the video output via S-Video is fantastic and makes VHS look much better than I'm used to. The hifi audio is also excellent. This thing is built like a tank and has a very cool retro look to it.

The downside however is how large the unit is. These were typically meant to be rack-mounted devices so make sure you have adequate room for it if you decide to acquire one.

JVC BR-S800U

This unit is built like a tank! Big as hell! I like that! Quality... This thing sound amazing. I do soundtrack for all type of video production. I sometimes master my audio on this unit to get that broadcast sound in my music. Lots or functions, and complete manual helps lots. JVC are the inventors of the VHS format, so you cant go wrong with JVC when it comes to video equipment...Lire l'avis complet...
