Gotta love it!

I travel a lot and other countries have electric outlets that make me not want to carry adapters and chargers, or even my laptop. So I get 15 hours or more of use from this little unit from only one AAA battery, which can be purchased anywhere, or toss spares in your carry on luggage. They are super easy to download music onto from CD or computer.
It is becoming hard to find battery operated units, but I think they still serve a great purpose. I bought my first one at WalMart, but now units like these go for half price or less, so no great loss if lost or stolen.
Only complaint is that sometimes it gets confused and displays ID info for the song that is playing incorrectly.Lire l'avis complet...

Coby 2 GB MP3 Player.

This is my third Coby MP3 player and I think they are great. It does everything I want it to do and it does it more logically than most other MP3 players. This player uses AAA batteries,so I don't have to worry about keeping track of a power cord or power supply. This also means I have no down time when the battery runs down. I just pop in a another rechargeable battery. And if it runs low while I am out and about, AAA batteries are as close as the nearest convenience or grocery store. Another thing I like about this player is the fact that one end is a USB connector. So I don't have to worry about having a cable to put a program on it. If I find an Old Time Radio program while surfing the net at work (on my lunch break), I can add it right away. I only use it to listen to audiobooks and Old Time Radio programs, so I can't comment on the fidelity or audio quality. It is fine for what I use it for.
There have been some changes since the last one I bought. I had to replace it because I dropped it and scratched up the screen. The one that I notice the most is that to pause or play I have to hit the button twice. Once to wake it up, and then again to perform the function. That gets old quick.
I have been very happy with the capacity. 2 GB is a LOT of audio. Controls are pretty intuitive and easy to use.
I feel like I need to compare it to the IPOD. The Coby player is lighter, smaller and far, far cheaper. I can add files from any computer without using ITunes. I just drag and drop like it was a jump drive (and you can use it as a jump drive too). And if I drop or lose my Coby player it will only cost $20-$30 to replace it. I don't have to worry about a charger or USB cable to keep track of. I said that this is my third. The first was a 512MB player. The system lock button broke in half, it still plays, but I decided I wanted a new one. As I said, I dropped the second (1GB) and scratched to screen. It is still usable also. Then I bought this 2 GB player.

A good buy for the money

I decided to buy this item because my husband had one and wanted another, and I already have this item. I like it because it has a removable battery as well as built in USB, so transferring music is easy. It also needs no software to use. The sound quality is good and I like the display screen

What I don't like about is that sometimes it randomly rearranges the music, moving it from one order to another. Other than this, it is a great item and I recommend it highly!Lire l'avis complet...

Glad I bought it!!!!

I love this product and everything about it! My drive doesn't work and I was glad this came with a flash drive adapter. I loaded my music right away. I bought this for myself. I love how it can easily be used while working out or travelling via public transportation, there's a little chain for the mp3 player to hook onto this of the headphones and you get to wear them over your head so when you put the plugs in your ears your mp3 player is not hanging too low and it stays attached. I love this product! I love the radio...the sound is crisp and clear. At first I had a little issue presetting the radio stations because I like to figure things out without the directions but use them when I have a problem. Nothing but problems

I owned this for about 1 month. I could only load ONE song on it. It's two gigs, that doesn't mean 1 song! I got it brand new. I ended up giving up w this device because of the glitches it contained and went for something different. Really wished it would have worked out because overall it looked and was a nice device. Where's the Voice Recorder?

What a disappointment. It's a fine mp3 player with lots of memory but where did the voice recorder go? I thought I was getting the whole thing but was disappointed to find that feature was missing.
