Decent game

Need for Speed Prostreet is a very different game as far as the Need for Speed titles go, so much so that it may not even merit the title. The game itself is much more challenging than your average racer because of the controls and more realistic scenarios, wherein you have to pay for repairs to your car or risk disabling it. Every bump counts towards your vehicles damage, and so you have to be cautious of turns and air time; unlike other Need for Speed games you can't simply drift a turn and use walls as cushions.
The controls are very different from most other racing games, and it is the first one I have come across that requires clutching for a manual transmission. It is almost necessary to jamb four or five buttons in quick succession in order to take sharp turns.
Further, the basis behind the game is quite different from the Need for Speed title. There are no more police to run from and all racing is done on a race track, which is a bit of a joykill.

I would recommend this game to anyone that likes circuit and drag racing. Don't buy it simply on the fact that it carries the NFS title because it is nothing similar to the popular game series that you love.

Average at best

Its average at best. Definitely not the best franchise like the person below. This game didn't do well in its release so that persons statement is invalid. At the time of this games release Grid was also out and honestly that was better than this. This game is basically Grid but more based on tuners. While it has a decent selection of luxurious and exotic cars its more based on tuners. Has a few ugly muscle cars. Its all closed tracks and the car physics in this game was good at its time. Pro street is basically a unsuccessful version of Shift since it handles that way. You are better off playing that game rather than this. This game you play as Ryan Cooper. You don't get to play as yourself and it slightly ruins the gameplay. Pro street has some odd experiments such as if you crash your car you have to pay for it so you never want to crash in this game. Its okay but the fact it costs money if you were to crash you would just end up turning off the console instead. If you see this for 6 bucks its fine but I do recommend playing Need for speed shift 1 and 2 since its the spirit successor of Pro street.Lire l'avis complet...

Good game, but very buggy!

I love the fact you can really customize your cars in this game and the effects are noticable to a degree. It seams as the cars get faster and you have more power, it is nearly impossible to tune them to be tame enough to handle most courses. That said I LOVE the damage mode and the effects it has on your car for racing. Also its fun on occasion to completely demolish the car and have it totalled, but annyoing at times.
DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT Update the game. Just play it as is and ignore all the updates. The update is buggy, takes away one of the cheat codes, and ulitmatley will stop you from completing the game, since you get to a point where it just keeps crashing. Then you will have to start all over, and delete the update.

How do I know? Cause I did it. It sucked.

So dont update, and play until GT5 finally gets released. Where the hell are you polyphony or whomever makes GT5. I have been waiting nearly 5 years for this damn game. WTF!

Decent game B-

You can customize your vehicles in any which way you desire. Performace, appearance, roll cages, and just about everything else.

The online ability to play lacks the players (willing to race online) needed to have a multiplayer game going. Solo player is very intense, although you get a little burnt out of the "same ol game" over and over just on different race tracks.

Graphics are ok, but you go so fast once you aftermarket part the heck out of your car that you begin to not notice anything but your car on the race track. Plus, when you completely trick out your car with high-performance parts...you beging to race a vehicle that is too fast for the twists and turns on the technical race tracks. Fixing up your vehicle every race from the damage you cause gets a bit lame (just knowing you F up your vehicle every race, yet you still win). Yes...you can always downgrade to a 4wd vehicle with a nice suspension to handle the technical tracks...but then that vehicle gets supped up too over time. I just found it very repetative once the game lost it's appeal shelf life.

The intense asian influence on this game is at first something that sets this game apart from other racings games (in a positive way)...but after hours of playing the game you get a little frustrated with the "in your face" intensity this game has (with funky music).

I would buy it all over again if I had the chance.

One of the best NFS out there!

First of, the only thing I don't like is, that the game is not open world. It's with race tracks just like GT or Forza but with the NFS feel of cars!

With that out of the way the good parts:>- The game has a varied selection of cars. from the weak J-cars such as the Sprinter Trueno, to the strong American muscle such as the Corvette C6, to the Luxurious Lamborghini Murcielago!
- The game has a varied amount of Car customization that goes from car body kits to car handling and power.
-The game is simply: what we need in 2017 or for the next NFS game!Lire l'avis complet...

Most REALISTIC NEED FOR SPEED YET!!!

Need for speed pro street was one of the better Need For Speeds that have been released. It was by far the most realistic Need For Speed out there. I really enjoyed the fact that if you damage a foreign car, the cost to repair the vehicle goes up depending on how valuable it is in real life. I don't enjoy paying for it, but I thought it was a very good idea to make that part realistic.

In this Need For Speed, there is a great variety of different race types. Grip races, Time Trial, Drift, Drag, Speed, Top Speed, Wheelie Competitions and several more. I was happy to see that EA finally decided to get rid of the Knockout races. The game started off kind of boring because you start off with very slow and unexciting vehicles. Such as an old Honda Civic and the Chevy Cobalt. As you get farther into the game, you can get nicer cars, and eventually get up to the unbeatable Pagandi Zonda. The variety of cars in this game was a disappointment, because they do not have many of the cars you expect to be in a racing game such as Ferrari, Lamborghini and cars like that.

The graphics and details in this game are very good. The length of the Career mode was very satisfying. The Multiplayer part of this game came to be a disappointment. It was just like any other Multiplayer racing game. If you are looking for a good racing game for PS3. I would suggest this only for single player, if you are looking to play online I would wait until something better comes out.

If you have any questions about this game that I did not mention here, please contact me, I would be more than happy to answer all of your questions about this game. If I did not mention a certain detail that you would like to know, just tell me and I will add it here. If you enjoyed this review please rate is helpful!! Thank You

Need For Speed is the best racing game out there!

EA's Need for Speed series has long been an ever-evolving franchise, one that changes up its focus, mechanics and style every couple of years. Though the game sells incredibly well, the developer/publisher doesn't like to sit still. This obviously means that the series has had its ups and downs, and unfortunately Need for Speed ProStreet isn't one of the ups.

ProStreet is a game that doesn't really seem to know what it's trying to be. It's been years since we've seen a Need for Speed title that focused solely on track racing, with the franchise branching out into open world settings with a story, cop chases and all sorts of other things to make it stand out. ProStreet, however, goes back to the track-based racing, putting the player into race after race on closed circuits, and then sending them back to a menu after each race is over.

This setup is perfectly fine and, in this case, does work well to some extent, but there's not really a whole lot of extra "stuff" outside of the races that makes it seem like Black Box had a good idea of exactly what it was trying to accomplish. Yes, the fundamentals are there and the setup does work well, but the bulk of the presentation doesn't feel all that robust, especially when compared to what we've seen in recent years.

you need, need for speed, wow,,what a game

im usually a madden head, bought need for speed for 22 bucks to try it, and I love it, great tracks, good control and accurate damage scale, so when you crash , you actually weaken the car, i play it with the logitech gt steering wheel and i love it, it is awesome,, however, they need to make a reverse button, because if you crash at a certain angle, you can t get out and back on the roadLire l'avis complet...

"Need for Speed" Where are the COPS

I purchased based on the legacy of the "Need for Speed" video games. I have played all of them from the PS2 to current. I have to admit I was a little disappointed in the game itself. All the others have been based on street racing and getting away from the cops. Not this one. It is based on track racing, with no cops. Where are the COPS?? Also it has damage to your vehicle, and you can not disable it. If you destroy your car the race is over and you have to pay to fix again. And as a suggestion if you get it use the king mode on the driving. They have driver assist options but they are not to my personal liking. I want to control the car. All in all its a fun a game however I personally like the older versions.Lire l'avis complet...
