LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga (Wii, 2007)

Pros
-includes all six Star Wars movies which provide great source material for the entire game
-allows you to play as nearly any character from the Star Wars Universe
-injects more humor into the Star Wars stories
-controls are easy to use
-lots of things to collect and places to explore in each level
-sounds great: like star wars; uses original Star Wars music (note: if you're new to Lego games - characters don't talk, they just gesture, grimace, and grunt)
-online play option
-option to play with two people offline anytime

Cons
-includes the first three star wars movies - episodes I, II, and III - these levels are not as well designed as the last three episodes
-characters sliding off edges of the level
-switching between characters is sometimes a mess
-camera angles are occasionally awkward
-no level creator (now in the new Lego Indy game)
-vehicle levels

LEGO Star Wars The Complete Saga

I love Star Wars and I love Legos. I’ve played the LEGO Star Wars game and I’ve played the LEGO original trilogy and I love them both. I love the way the complete saga updates the graphics slightly as well as adding so much more to find in each level as well as so many more extra levels and bonuses. The music in this game is straight out of the movies and that’s so amazing and makes the game feel so good. I only wish the game had classic controller support. To where the game plays with the Wii remote and the nunchucks feels like it’s trying to emulate a traditional controller and I am and I feel like it would be better to just have a traditional controller like the Wii classic controller or Wii classic controller pro. I have gotten pretty used to the way the game controls with the Wii remote and the nunchuck but I’ve also played the previous Lego Star Wars games on PlayStation 2 with the dual shock controller as well as the same exact game on PS3 with the door shock controller and it is a better way to play the game. I definitely think this is a great game on Wii but it’s better on other consoles. Xbox 360 and PS3 have LEGO Star Wars the complete saga in glorious 1080 P high definition full screen. Then tendo Wii as and adapter made by third-party company called Wii to HD and although it almost feels the screen I am still saying on most because it doesn’t fill the screen and it does look better than even the component cables but it’s still not as good as through HDMI 1080 P high definition. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been enjoying this game a lot and this is the only version that I own but if you’re at a similar price point and you’re debating whether to get this game for Xbox 360 or PS3 or Nintendo Wii I would say go with the Xbox 360 or the PS3 Since they do have HDMI 1080 P high definition. The other benefit to the Xbox 360 and the PS3 is the dual shock controller and the Xbox controller which video and play so much better than a Wii remote and nunchuck. If you like the controls on the end and a weed then it’s really up to you to decide which version of the game you get. If you don’t mind that you’re not going to get 1080 P high definition graphics on Nintendo Wii then by all means get the Nintendo Wii version of the game. In conclusion, I was just want to say that the game plays really well on the Nintendo Wii and with the HDMI adapter that I have for the Nintendo Wii it looks really good as well as all the other Nintendo Wii games. I still wish the game at classic controller support but for what it is with the Wii remote and the nunchuck trying to simulate a traditional controller layout it’s a pretty good Nintendo Wii game.Lire l'avis complet...

A long time ago in a galaxy far away . . .

I remember playing this as a kid with my bro on the original xbox. Now I wanted to relive the nostalgia and it's just as good as i remember. I recommend this game to anybody who likes Star Wars, but WATCH ALL THE MOVIES FIRST or there will be spoilers and you won't understand anything. It's entertaining for all ages. To conclude It's an overall awesome game that will create many memories for years to come plus there are many bonuses that will keep you entertained for years to come.Lire l'avis complet...

Lego videogame = family fun time

Once again the Lego series makes video gaming what it was designed to be---fun. There is just enough puzzle solving to make the game have purpose---but the overall objective is simply to move a character around, smash things, and collect coins.

For pre-teens it's exactly what they love. Easy controls, bright colors, a storyline that follows the movie.

If you want a game that has mystery and in depth strategy, don't buy any of the Lego series. If you simply just want to pick up a controller and enjoy some family time, then any of the Lego series is a perfect choice.

Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga

I have a grandson who is Autistic and for him this game is fun but can be difficult at times. The fun part is playing this game and the different levels. The hard part is figuring out what can be done to achieve the next level.Lire l'avis complet...

Lego Star Wars for the Wii.

Lego Star Wars is a fun and entertaining game. It doesn't take much to get sucked into it, and realize hours have passed. The controls are great, and a lot of fun to use. It's a nice change from using a gamepad, or keyboard and mouse. It's humorful and great for kids of all ages. The camera work in 2-Player can become awkward at times, but it's understandable with 2 different avatars vying for precious space on your screen. Even though this is a cartoony Lego Universe, the graphics will astound. Some of the backgrounds are beautiful, and well detailed. It is a game my family and I haven't put down since we got it. And having played most of the Star Wars games put out since the Atari 2600, It's in my top 5 favorite.Lire l'avis complet...

Good game, EXCELENT for those addicted in Star Wars!!

It follows the history of star wars through episodes 1 to 6. Has a nice gameplay, not obligatory to use motion sensors on wii to play (can use only buttons and analog control) e control lots and lots of different characters. The only annoying thing is the camera in the game: sometimes it confuses where to go, get shot from off-screen or even make you kind of dizzy. Except that, sure worth a try!Lire l'avis complet...

Child Friendly fun!

I thought maybe this game would be over my 4 year old son's head, but I was wrong. He really took to it and loved the challenge that came with it. With only lego pieces flying around after being struck by a lightsaber, I find it a light-hearted way to do battle with the forces of evil. The sounds, graphics, and gameplay are all top notch. I will say the controls are a bit loose, and the direction of the game is not spelled out for you, so my son often found himself stuck on way 'level' until I helped him. All in all it is a fun game for 2 players, but just as fun for one.Lire l'avis complet...

Lego Star Wars is a MUST HAVE for young and old SW fans

Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga (Wii) is a must have for the young and old a like star wars fan! Not only does it highlight all the major aspects of all 6 episodes but it follows pretty closely the story lines of the star wars movies.

My thinking was that the lego version might be to kiddy for me (being a huge starwars fan in my mid thirties), but what I found was extremely the opisite of this. I found not only the lego star wars to be fairly realistic, but also by far one of the most enjoyable star wars games I have ever played. Plus it has the added extra bonus of being so extremely family frendly that I used the excuse that my son would love this! My son, being almost 3 doesn't quite get the controls yet, but he loves to fly the ships while I shoot for him. It is also not a game that you will put donwn anytime soon!

It has you running around from mission to mission looking for items collecting lego chips in order to unlock other caracters, items and levels. And you won't be able to unlock everything buy completing the level just once. You will find your self comeing back to levels over and over to unlock everything just to get that one caracter that you want to play with. I love playing with anakins ghost! But it took an unbelievable amount of chips to get him!

Not only does it have all the adventures of the original trilogy and the prequil trilogy and all the characters to play with and ships you can fly, but it has tons of additional side games that you can play, like the bounty hunter additional missions and the lego city total destruction missions. You will not run out of fun for a very long time!

If you are a star wars fan, Don't hesitate to get this just because it looks kiddy! Especially if you are a star wars fan who has kids! Try it, you might find yourself looking to buy other lego series games like Lego Indiana Jones: the complete saga! I know I am! At around $21 -$25 on e-bay you can get this game for a steal. Get it today!! I am glad I did! Haven't stoped playing it since.
