One of the Best Superhero Games for Next-Gen Consoles
Spider-Man 3 has a huge boot to fill. The game's predecessor, Spider-Man 2 was the first Spider-Man game to have the go-wherever-you-want mode. Spider-Man 3 fills those boots very well. The game features the same beloved exploration mode as Spider-Man 2 and a lot more missions than 2. Also, this game gives fans the long awaited ability to swim! No more "Didn't think I'd get a shower way out here" lines. Spider-Man 2 had some good missions, some were challenging, but most were fairly easy. Spider-Man 3 has very difficult missions. The game delivers solid graphics, and exceptional realism in Spider-Man's attacks. The game features three different story lines, gang fighting, super villian fighting, and movie plot. You have to play through all three. The gang fighting is probably the easiest, but it has its challenges. The gangs have fairly good storylines, except for one, and believe me, when you play it you'll know which one I'm talking about. The super villian storyline is good, featuring a lot of bosses. You can fight Scorpion, Lizard, Kingpin, and others. The storylines are good, and some of the boss fights are some of the hardest levels in video gaming. The final storyline, the movie story is probably the worst. The game features the entire plot, made for the game except for a couple of levels and events just woven in to tie it into the movie. The movie storyline level boss fights are fun and very challenging. The ability to play as black-suited Spider-Man for a lot of the game is good. The normal Spider-Man is like a graceful martial arts master while the black suited Spider-Man has some of that agility, but packs punches like a heavy-weight champion.
Overall, Spider-Man 3 is a very solid, good, entertaining game. Some of the levels will have you chucking your dualshock controller on the floor, but the fun of some of the boss battles and the excitement of swinging around NY, above and below, outweighs it. I would reccomend you buy the special edition version, because you can play as the New Goblin after you beat him as Spider-Man. If you pay $60.00 or more, you payed too much. But from around $39.99 (normal game) or $49.99 (special edition) it is a good buy.Lire l'avis complet...
Good Game, just NOT Great
The day has finally arrived. We finally have our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man on the Next-Generation. I picked this game up the day the movie was released. Let's cut the chit-chat and get down to business here, okay?
Alright, so the thing that matters the most to most gamers when it comes to the Next-Gen consoles is the graphics. Well, to be honest, this game's graphics aren't a lot more impressive than Spider-Man 2's graphics back on the PS2. The lighting is excellent as are the shadows while you swing around New York City, but as for game models, the environments and such, not a lot of improvement to be honest. So if you're looking for incredible graphics that will make you go, "Wow, the Next Gen's graphics are AMAZING!" you won't really find that in this game. The graphics are good, just not as good as I thought they would be, since this is a PS3 after all.
Alright, then there's the game-play. In Spider-Man 2, all you had to do was tap R2 and you can swing from skyscraper to skyscraper. This time, you have to hold R2. The swinging is also a tad bit slower this time around. For example, if you were swinging down a block in Spider-Man 2, it would take five seconds. In this game, it would take ten or fifteen seconds. It's not a major deal, but it does annoy me. Attacks are a bit slower, too. You can also perform combo moves with the square and triangle buttons. With bosses, if you've ever played God of War, it's like that. Once you get them weak enough, you'll tap a button to enter the sequence. You'll see Spider-Man moving towards the boss then a button will appear on-screen and you'll have to tap that button. It can be pretty tough at times, but hey, I think it's cool.
Sound, no complaints here. The music in the game is fitting for a Spider-Man game and the voices sound crisp and clear.
Now you may be thinking, should I buy this game? I say yes, sure. Buy the game. Overall, it's a very enjoyable game, but it DOES get very tough at times. But if you enjoyed Spider-Man 2 then you should enjoy Spider-Man 3. The game is a bit of a disappointment, seeing how it's not as good as I thought it would be, but overall, it's still an enjoyable game.

Web-swinging is fun - the game play is OK
I'm a HUGE Spidey Fan and I also enjoy playing video games with my kids. The look and feel of the game is great. It is easy enough to web-swing thru the town and jump, climb up walls, etc.
The game play would be better if it were more open ended. Too me there were just too many time, for example, where you simply have to push the right button at the right time.
It may be a bit too challenging for real young kids, but 10 to 15 year olds will rip through the game.
My take on buying this game is don't pay the $50+ original price. You should be able to find this for $25 or less. If you enjoy Spider-Man you will have fun with this. Be patient the price will drop.

Spiderman 3 PS 3 game
It is a good game as it is rated E for everyone and is not violent like most of the games today. However, it is very difficult to play if you are not someone who are not experienced in playing these fast moving games. My son is 24 but if mildly austistic and had quite a lot of trouble getting the nack of the speed of these PS3 games. I wish they had a beginner, moderate or high level, for those of us that are not use how fast the figures move and all the buttons you have to work all at one time. The picture is beautifully clear and realistic. The complications of playing this game is the only problem we had.

Does Whatever a Spider Can
Spider-Man. Like it or not he is one of best superheroes ever made by pop culture. Comics are written about him, toys are made and just recently, movies are being made about him. And like that special prize inside a ceral box, movie-based games are made about him. Usually movie-based games suck but his doesn't. Spider-Man for PS2, Gamecube and the Xbox did well and Spider-Man 2 did even better. Now comes Spider-Man 3 for the the Next-Gen systems and well does it do a great job like its predcessors or does it fall into the Movie-based gaming curse? Read on for my review.
Graphics: The graphics here are fantastic! After playing the PS2 version of the game it was a huge improvment to me. But in general the graphics are nice and realistic. There are some some gliches here and there but nothing major. 9.5/10.
Gameplay: The gameplay is the same as Spider-Man 2: free-roam, beat up bad guys, the usual. You chose you own missions and some button pushing sequences but other than that it's nothing new. 9/10
Controls: The controls are as smooth as silk! Need I to say more?

Spiderman 3 PS3 excelente game
I liked it because the graphics are great, the only thing I hate is that I cannot change the suit when I wish.
In comparison to other games I think Spiderman 3 is in a good position, other thing I liked it was the optional story, I fought with Scorpion, the Lizard, Kingpin, Rhino...and a lot of new enemies, really impresive.

Great Game
Great Game a lot more to do than Spider-Man 2!!! You can speed boost on your swings and a whole lot of other new features have been added to Spider-Man 3. This is good game for the spiderman fans
I am a fan of spiderman 2 on the ps2. so i bought this for ps3. its just like spidey 2 but better. the swinging is great and easier than ever. i love hanging people on traffic lights. You can do missions wen you want. you are free to roam wherever you want in NYC. it is grool. if you were a fan of spidey 2 on the ps2 you should definitely get this. if not you should still try.Lire l'avis complet...
Spider Man 3
I bought this game because i'm a dad that needs some guy time when the kids finally go to sleep. I have madden 09 but after 4 seasons the game starts to freeze up, very irritating. I got spiderman because i found it cheap and now that i have been playing it i've really gotten into it. there is alot to do and you have full control on what to do when. I am trying to find out how to be the black spider but until then i'm having fun cruising the city beating up bad guys. this is a great game and i'm having fun playing it when i get a chance too.Lire l'avis complet...
It's more fun than watching the movie again!
I've been a Spiderman fan for decades & I've got 3 banana boxes full of various Spiderman comics,some of which are well over a quarter of a century old so that's why I got the game.I absolutely LOVE the game for a lot of reasons.The graphics are fantastic,the story line didn't get changed,the fighting is more than expected and,well,IT'S SPIDERMAN!!!If you're into Spiderman like me you'll love this game too and,trust me,it'll be worth every penny you've spent on it.Lire l'avis complet...
