Best portable media player, but still needs some work.
It's been less than 2 decades since people began asking, "How did I ever get by without a computer?" or "...the Internet?" or "...a cellular phone?" People are asking the same when it comes to portable entertainment devices. The iPod Nano 3G, the next in line from Apple's smartly designed digital media players, is my favorite media player to-date by any company, and packs many features in an elegant little package...if you can get past the sometimes annoying and limiting proprietary software (iTunes) used to manage the device. It's much more than just an *.mp3 player. Although some may complain the tiny, yet vibrant screen and 8GB storage capacity are too small to view full length movies on, it's great for music or Youtube videos when you have some downtime. If you keep in mind that it's main function is to play music, you'll find that it's light, portable nature makes it the ideal workout companion when paired with the Nike + iPod system. Apple still needs to improve some things on this device, namely the durability of the screen, storage capacity, FM radio capability, and a serious iTunes overhaul to let consumers maximize their listening experience (Read: Eliminate DRM so I don't have to authorize/deauthorize computers and players every time I try to use my collection on another device!). Make sure you protect your new Nano with a hard acrylic case or a screen protector to prevent the inevitable scratches. Apple iPod 3rd Gen. 8 GB (Refurbished)
We bought the iPod about a month and a half ago. It's in good condition for being refurbished. It's fairly easy to use and has good sound. I have never had one before so I am still getting used to all the ways to work it and all the different things you can do with it. I mainly just use mine to listen to music while I work and it helps me move faster. Anyway, I'm glad I bought it and would always recomend getting a good case for it to prevent wear and tear for good protection. I needed something small to run with...
I was looking for a new iPod that I could easily take running with me and would not weigh down the arm I strapped it to or the hip I clipped it to. I foun the iPod Nano 3rd Generation as a perfect size and it's 8GB hard drive will let me continute to add my music to it for a while to come. I used to have one of the original iPod minis (loved it!) but I filled its capacity for songs after about a year and a half. Hopefully this iPod will last a bit longer.
I haven't had any problems with the device as of yet, but I have heard from friends of mine with the same iPod that it can get a bit tempermental. Hence, it's a good idea to go along and invest in the SquareTrade plan; it's cheap, reliable and worth investing in given the history of iPod Nanos.Lire l'avis complet...
A good companion for music lover
I just bought this product to replace my PDA which I have used it as a MP3 player. Based on my two week's experience, I found that iPod has better battery life and features. My old PDA has better sound quality. But iPod is smaller, lighter and easy to carry around. I think iPod has better overall value as a media player.Lire l'avis complet...
Apple ipod nano
Well i bought this so i can hook it up to my head unit for my car so i won't have to carry a whole book of cd's all the time. i like it cause i don't have to worry about all my cd's getting stolen and having to shuffle through them when i'm driving to hear a song. its a good product and i got it for a great price and it looks brand new even though its refurbished and said there maybe scratches on it, but its sweet. the only regret i have is that i should've gotten a higher memory one. or like the regular sized ipod and gone with the 30 gb cause this one filled up quick.Lire l'avis complet...
iPod Nano 3rd Generation
I had bought one of these for my son when they first came out and liked the difference from all of the other nanos in the design of the case. It fits into the 5th pocket (used to be used for a pocketwatch) on jeans perfectly because it's a bit 'shorter' than the other generations, including the newer ones. When his was ruined by jumping into a pool with it still in his pocket, I decided to replace it and get one for myself. The only thing I don't like is that I can't use it without iTunes. Regular Windows audio files need to be converted (time consuming) but the sound is awesome. I got it with a scratched screen but purchased a new screen and it's now like new. The graphics are really crisp, it's got that 'quality' feel to it. Typical MP3 players feel cheap compared to this player. 8 gig is enough for me but if you have a really big music library you might want to consider getting a newer one with more storage capacity.Lire l'avis complet...
iPod Nano 3G
I was into cheap mp3 players for a long time. I had gone through a sansa, Coby, 2 Muvos(nice), a Zen Stone (nice screen, poor battery. Then my son showed me a old iPod mini. That's all it took. I bought a 3rd gen nano within a week. I'm thrilled with the product. Navigation is super easy. Battery life is great. The small screen is super clear and crisp.
I'm not nuts about itunes and the fact you have to be on one computer to make changes. I can't play with itunes at work without having to resync at home and then make changes all over again. IPOD NANO (8 GB) MA247LL/A THIRD GEN. DMP
I really like my Ipod - It is easy to use and download items. The 8GB has space for alot of music and the sound quality is good. Buy a quality set of headphones to really get better sound. The display - size and quality is great! Buy a good cover to help protect it from scratches. Battery life is good and the overall quality of the unit is good not like some of those cheap MP3 players. This is my first Ipod and I really can't think of any negative points right now. If 2000 song storage ability is not enough than go for A higher GB unit. This Nano 3 is fantastic ole quaility this is my 4th one, I dont like to change after I've found a product that I like and trust. I carefully selected one that was in x-tra good shape and had the cables case no scratches hardly etc and kids you get what ya pay for...Very well worth the price, shop carefully and get yourself one that's in real great shape and your good to go.... The three I had before this one met tradgie each all of my making LOL! Like lesson one be carefull bout placing these things on the sand while laying out out on Daytona Beach:) that tide will grab it. When you loan one out to family they keep them! Never leave in car pluged into the radio even hidden the thieves will spot the cord even if it's only showing bout a inch as in my case. Last but not least plase larn from me always check your windbreaker pocket's before washing that dirty ole thing much cheaper to get another coat (LOL) Stick with what sounds as good as this model you wont go wrong ....... and WOW what bargin these days compared to just a few years back just shop and grab one like new, you won't regret. There's something about these Nano 3 Silver's that just sound's the best.... Ever listened to one? Still, the best iPod Nano series
Even though there's a new generation of the Nano, to me the 3rd generation remains the best for one simple reason: Size. It's simply perfect. It fits anywhere, it's really easy to put it inside a wallet, a shirt, etc. It has a beautiful screen, that quite frankly I preffer over the 4th generation. It's not as fragile as generation one or two. Best of all you can get it for half the price of an equivalent generation 4. You just can't go wrong with it. I have different iPods, specially the classic which is best in terms of capacity, but when it comes to the always have on you factor, the 3rd generation rules! Just make sure you get a skin for it to protect it, which shouldn't be a surprise, all iPods scratch easily and you should be all set. Get one, enjoy it.
