13 Years Of Great Coffee

The Krups Cafe Express coffee maker made great coffee every morning for 13 years. Why do I like it other than its longevity?

Water moves slowly over the grounds, so that I use less coffee to make a strong mug. This unit is efficient. When you pour in 4 cups of water, you'll get 4 cups of coffee. I tried to replace this unit once with a Mr. Coffee, but that unit ran too hot and produced way too much steam.

The 4-cup machine is perfect for that one travel mug of coffee when I'm on my way to teach at the university.

I just ordered a replacement from someone who got the machine as a gift and never used it.

Daily use coffeemaker

I picked up my first Krups Cafe Express 4-cup at a garage sale a number of years ago. Still works well & makes excellent coffee (this is relative - of course), so I figured I'd purchase this new one as a back up since this model is no longer available through regular retail vendors. Krups Cafe Express 4 cup Coffee Maker

A nicely designed basic coffee maker, small enough to fit on a limited space counter top. Brews up a pot in about 7 minutes or so. The only drawback is that it doesn't get the water as hot as some would like, but I've found that drip brewers in general have this issue. Could also have been designed with an audible signal to announce the end of the brewing cycle, but I'm just being picky.
Uses a #2 paper filter, a plastic mesh permanent one is included if purchased as new. It's unfortunate that this model has been discontinued by the manufacturer, It's a good little machine. Lire l'avis complet...

Krups Cafe Express 4-Cup Coffee Maker ~ Model FMA110

Boy it's great not having to buy/use those paper filters... the Krups Coffee maker is a very good product, with key benefits being:

- no paper filters needed (washable/removable filter basket)<br>- water heats up faster than other small coffee makers
- excellent brewing system, high quality coffee is produced
- easy pour carafe
- easy cleanup
- well located water resivor and water level gauge

Krups Cafe Express - still awesome!

The Krups Cafe Express 4 cup coffeemaker was sadly discontinued awhile back. Why, who knows. It is beautifully styled and perfectly functional. It is perfect for making 1-2 mugs of coffee (4 cups refers to very small cups, not mugs). I'm not aware that a better 4 cup coffee maker exists, so when my Krups Cafe Express coffeemakers have bit the dust after years of daily service, I looked to eBay to pick up used replacements.Lire l'avis complet...
