Devil Kings

Pros: Suitable graphics, killing lots of people at once is fun, fun level up and experience point system, lots of upgrades, dialogue can be so cheesy its funny, boss battles are so easy its fun
>Cons: Unoriginal, Music is easily forgettable, cheesy voice acting, some upgrades are pointless, AI is stupid even on the hardest difficulty, can become repetitive after awhile, Conquest mode could of been a bit better, enemies come out of thin air sometimes

Devil Kings is a game that is just their to play to past the time away, blow off some steam, or if your just in the mood for killing a ton of armies in a matter of ten to twenty minutes. I do enjoy the game quit a bit but it does have flaws that could definitely turn a few people a way.

Graphically the game is fine, the environments are very well detailed, the characters are all detailed, each boss has their own unique look,and fury attacks are very eye catching and pleasing. The only real problem I found with the graphics is the basic armies are repetitive to look at due to almost every single guy looking exactly the same but this is with almost every single game when theirs armies of enemies running at you trying to kill you.

The game play is fun for a while but after so long of doing the same moves over and over again, all special attacks are similar in their own way, and just not to much variety at all can become repetitive quickly. The game plays a lot like a Dynasty Warriors game basically (except Dynasty Warriors 1) except theirs a few exceptions such as some characters have guns. The boss fights all feel the same which is kind of a downer but theirs a few that are different such as Puff who throws a hammer or a axe not sure or the one boss with a giant sword. Also the AI is almost completely stupid random enemies falling down for no reason and attack or run in circles at times.

The voice acting can be so cheesy sometimes its funny such as when you play as the Devil King and at the end of when you conquer a area he says something like "All is mine and mine is all" or something like "a nation under my blade" it doesn't sound funny in text but if you heard it you would at least get a chuckle out of it. The only real thing to say about the music and sound effects are their unforgettable.

Replay Value is slightly high just due to this being one of those games you can pick up to blow off some steam or if your in a bad mood or if you just wanna go on a killing spree before going to work, school, or maybe even a relatives house. Also theirs 6 characters to play as and 6 more to play as after unlocking them.

Devil Kings really could of been a break from the usual formula hack slash hack slash fight boss and repeat and it does do that at times but it is still repetitive to the point of it turning a lot of people a way from it. All in all Devil Kings is a great purchase for Dynasty Warriors fans or button masher fans but other then that you might just want to rent it.Lire l'avis complet...

I rate games based on how innovative they were in their time and how well they stand up in today's gaming market. I rated Devil Kings as 5 star for excellent for a couple of reasons. Firstly the story line. I think that the story stands out among games in this genre. The story is interspersed with anime cut scenes that totally take you by surprise and move the story along nicely. It is easy to put yourself in the role of whichever character you choose and really feel a part of the story. Isn't that what the best games do, bring you into the story completely? The other reason is the graphics and combat. Devil Kings pushes the limit in these areas, and leaves the player satisfied with every victory, and saddened at each defeat. The voice acting can be terrible at times, but I wonder how much this is due to the translation and those actors rather than what the Japanese version presents, so I don't take away too much from that fault. In essence, Devil Kings is a terrific beat-em-up with an excellent adventure of conquest that anyone can pick up and enjoy for an awesome escape and an awesome time.Lire l'avis complet...

COOL I get to use a character I always wanted. I 've always wanted to play something similar to devil may cry. I was the rest of the series was released in North America.
