Very Good Movie

I have heard it said by students at the university where I am employed that RUDY is an "epic" tale. This is a vast overstatement from a generation who feel that Avatar and it's superficiality has greater worth than the classics. I wonder what is happening to our world. Actually we know... yet it still causes wonder. RUDY is a tale of hopes and determination. This type of literature (movie or print) is always of worth to a imploding society. It allows those who are not yet drowned in it to have something to cling to and possibly remain afloat. There is courage and a tenacity in the heart and actions of this young man that is becoming societally obsolete. Family life is accurately depicted as volatile and contemptuous with members who despise RUDY'S dreams due to the fact that their own lives echo nothing of improvement or ambition. RUDY'S unconquerable spirit and actions show them all that they aren't and it burns in them like a coal fire, breeding contempt and scorn for this brother who serves as a wonderful example for us all. Persistance pays off. Follow your dream.

Since the story is about a real person. If you like football you will love this movie. Many of the scenes are on the practice field. You can almost smell the grass. Several scenes show just what a pressure cooker there is in college sports(football). I am not very good with words. One of the greats of all time

What can I say that you do not already know of have not already read?

First, one of the greatest sports movies of all time. Great football scenes. Fantastic, inspirational story line. The actors seem like they were made to act for this movie.

Second, really highlights some of the great things about college football. Gives a glimpse into the passion associated with college football. Even if you are not a Notre Dame fan, you will find excitement, suspense, and the thrill of the game in this movie.

Finally, it is a wholesome movie, one that you do not find so much these days. Teaches perseverance, setting big dreams and going after them, not giving up when all seems lost, and the importance of honesty, hard work, and friendship.
