The Last BoyScout
This was a another gritty story from Shane Black, the writer from the Lethal Weapon movies. Bruce Willis plays Joe Hallenbeck a extremely down and out secret service agent turned private detective. Damon Wayans plays Jimmy Dix a pill-pop-in x-quarterback.
Hallenbeck works the sleaziest and lowest-paid jobs in order to support his dis-functional family as well as his own developing gambling and boozing habits. His latest client is Cory (Hale Berry), a striper and part-time prostitute who hires him as a bodyguard. Soon after she is gunned down by professional assassins and he starts investigating her murder, taking Cory's boyfriend Jimmy Dix with into the sleazy world of professional sports and politics.
The story was quite good, but was given poor reviews, everyone claimed that Hallenbeck was just another version of Mel Gibson's chacter "Rigs" from the Lethal Weapon Series.

A pretty good action film
The Last Boy Scout
The Last Boy Scout isn't spectacular but it's a great action film with a decent plot and some awesome action scenes.
Willis and Wayans make the perfect pair and the supporting cast is great as well. The bad guy is superb and played incredibly well by Taylor Negron.
The Last Boy Scout is funny and action packed and is a perfect movie to just sit back and enjoy.

If you haven't seen this movie and you like action with a story , and a bonus if you pay attention excellent laughs , all around a must see !! Highly recommend it !!

The Last Boyscout is an AWESOME MOVIE, with A LOT OF ACTION, A GREAT CAST offering GREAT PERFORMANCES, GREAT MUSIC, VERY WELL WRITTEN, VERY INTERESTING, and will keep your undivided attention from beginning to end!! A MUST BUY!!!
We purchased this movie when it was first introduced in 1998, and have watched it 100's of times since! This is one of our favorite films, and is always within reach when we want to watch a GREAT ACTION FILM!!
