The movie is very well made war movie about german submarine U-96 which served in the second world war. It is said to be the greatest war movie ever made. A fascinating insite into life on a serving U Boat during WWII

I bought these dvds - 2dvd set - as a stocking filler for my husband this Christmas. He had been greatly impressed by the series when on television so I knew he would be pleased to receive them. He was not disappointed - just as good as remembered.
Can highly recommend these dvds - very atmospheric - claustrophobic even ! The viewer is drawn in. A fascinating depiction of service in a German U boat + excellent acting.
