Great for it's time

This is a game that I have played since I was very young. I picked it up again for nostalgia purposes.
The gameplay is fun and, at it's time, very different from the rest of the games around.
r>It can be annoying sometimes, especially if you don't speak clearly, loud enough, or something like that.

It might not hold up against newer games today but if you look at it in it's own time it was an interesting title that tried out a new kind of hardware/addon.Lire l'avis complet...

Pretty cool game.

This game is pretty unique, this was NINTENDO's first Attempt at Voice Recognition using Hey You, Pikachu! The game is very fun but you have to speak up into the microphone in order for Pikachu to understand what you are trying to say. Over all it's a fun game for kids ages 12 and under like it states on the box. If you have a child on the Autism Spectrum and you have a Nintendo 64, this would be a great game to help them with Developing they're Language Skills if they are a bit Advanced with speech of course, and it would help increase the way they speak and give them a boost of Confidence.Lire l'avis complet...

The game that won my childhood heart

I bought "Hey you, Pikachu!" when it first came out years and years ago.
It provided me with endless hours of amusement, being able to tell Pikachu what to do with the microphone (which usually led to testing just how well the voice controls actually could understand what I was saying), or watching him wander around and create his own adventure, which was never the same twice.

You get to meet and play with many of the well-loved Pokemon characters, such as Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Butterfree.

Most of the "missions" that you get during the game are quite simple, and are made more amusing by the fact that your character follows Pikachu around in a cardboard box with a slit in it at eye level, expecting Pikachu to not notice (and of course he doesn't, and gets incredibly confused and looks around when you talk to him from the box).

You have the ability to teach Pikachu to use certain attacks, which you use to do random tasks, such as using thunderbolt to get an apple down from a tree, or to to zap the heck out of another pokemon just because you feel like being a jerk.

There were glitches in the game, which were, at my age, incredibly amusing (such as Pikachu eating an Oddish after plucking it out of the ground).

Yes, the graphics are nothing amazing now, but back then they were pretty neat.

I bought the game again since at some point growing up I had lost it. I recently found my old N64, and the little microphone that comes with "Hey You, Pikachu!", which led to a massive amount of nostalgia.

Anyone who is a fan of Pokemon will get a few giggles and a good several hours of fun out of this game, while fans of Pikachu will be absolutely addicted from the start.

Hey You Pikachu

Hey you, Pokmon fanatic! Have you ever wanted to control your very own Pokmon? Now you can with HEY YOU, PIKACHU! for the Nintendo 64. It's as simple as speaking into the microphone that connects to your controller. If Pikachu understands you, he'll respond. The little yellow pocket monster has a vocabulary of approximately 200 words, and Professor Oak is even on hand to train you in the ways of creature communication. Wake up Pikachu each day by shouting "Good Morning!" and decide what games to play and activities to engage in. You can play Pokmon trivia on the in-game TV, gather food, hunt for treasure, collect seemingly endless goodies, go fishing, baby-sit Caterpie, and much more. You'll also play a variety of mini-games while guiding Pikachu along with friendly commands. As you bond and converse with your cartoon pal you'll investigate the Ochre Woods, head for the campground, check out Bulbasaur's picnic, and even solve clever puzzles. HEY YOU, PIKACHU! is an interactive romp that gives the younger set a chance to get up close and personal with their favorite Pokmon character.Lire l'avis complet...

Hey You, Pikachu!

This game is an instant classic. Any old school gamer who enjoys Nintendo and the N64 needs to have this game. In this game, you play as a kid who becomes friends with a wild Pikachu. Through interactions you and Pikachu become friends and roomates. You must also keep Pikachu happy and complete goals in every area you go with Pikachu. I would give this game an 8.5/10. It's not a high tech game but it's a classic.Lire l'avis complet...

Hey You, Pikachu! Nintendo 64

This is a fun game for your pokemon loving kids. I decided to buy it for my son who loves pokemon and video games. All combined into one. It is fun for the kids because with this game it comes with a microphone so that the player can talk and control pikachu. It lets the player feel more in control of the game. I highly recommend this game. My son loves it and plays it all the time.Lire l'avis complet...

Special game, especially for Europe

A vintage pokemon game that is also voice controlled, making it special.

This game was not available in Europe. For Europe an additional converter is needed. All in all (shipment from USA to europe + additional converter) for europeans it is a rather expensive gameLire l'avis complet...

My daughter was estatic

My daughter had been wanting to play the game for weeks and once the order got in and she played it herself for the first time she squeeled loudly. It is always better to be able to pay the game yourself instead of just watching others do so on youtube.Lire l'avis complet...

Childhood collector, never had as a kid because of price.

The classic Hey You Pikachu, I highly remember this one because I always wanted it as a kid. But, sadly because of the high cost (because of the addition of the microphone) I have never played it as a kid. It was definitely my most wanted game at that time, but was considered by others a terrible game. They complain it being unresponsive and boring, but at the time, it was pretty innovative. To conclude, what kid wouldn't want to talk and play with their very own Pikachu!Lire l'avis complet...

Simple is best

The game has a simple story, gameplay and graphics. But is really fun to play talking in the VRU, is a really creative game.
