Does the perfect job.

I needed a caddy to mount my SSD on one of the hard drive rails of my 2006 Mac Pro. This fits and work perfectly. It's easy to open and install your SSD into. There is a tension spring on the removable lid that keeps the SSD in place automatically. Other than installing it into your drive bay, the entire item is tool free. It is great for what it is intended. I made a mistake and didn't read the ad. I needed a 3.5 housing for a 3.5 hard drive.
