Celtic Woman: The Show (DVD, 2005)

All I can say is WOW! I first saw part of this on PBS in late 2005/early 2006. My husband had just passed away and so some of the songs were absolutely touching to me. They helped me "feel" again. I had borrowed the CD from a co-worker and loved it so I sought out one of my own and then saw the show! Now I am a fan & I am hooked! These five ladies are all beautiful but not just outwardly. They are so talented and show it with grace. Mairead is so spell-binding to watch as she dances with her fantastic fiddle and plays magically like a fairy. Orla has a haunting Irish voice almost like that of Enya and also plays the harp beautifully. Chloe has a soprano voice but it is soft, like that of the clouds in the sky. Lisa has a smooth voice and it's full of many various ranges. Meav is a high soprano who can hit notes in the outer atmosphere. The best part is they all sound great and blend well together! Thanks to their nice, well-trained conductor. His name is David Downes and he doesn't look much older than early 20's. He is an absolute Genious. My favorite songs to name a few on here are "Walking in the Air", "Isle of Inisfree", "Somewhere", "You Raise Me Up" but there are many more. Enjoy!Lire l'avis complet...

The music was beautiful. The girls in the group are quite talented.

The Celtic Woman show was excellent and I would highly recommend this
to any fan.

I have 4 DVD's and 5 CD's featuring Celtic Woman and haven't been let down once!! I have seen their concert live in Idaho Falls last year and have tickets to see them live again in Boise! Needless to say, I love their harmony and the Irish songs they sing!!Lire l'avis complet...

celtic women the show

My wife saw a part of their program recently on Iowa Public Television and was very impressed ... my parents also saw a program of Celtic Women in Ohio on their public tv station also enjoyed it, making comment to us. So we looked for a DVD of this group and found one on EBAY .. we bid we won ... we very much enjoyed the program ... but the DVD will not play on our DVD player to be able to watch it on our TV... it will only play on our computer small screen ... so the quality of what we hope to have and what we actually received .. were definitely not the same .. we will NEVER buy from that overseas dealer again.Lire l'avis complet...
