Great Fender product

Great Fender product. String notches were perfect for my '93 American Strat. However, straight out of the pack it is too high for most players and keep in mind it is curved. I came up with the idea to use one of those thick nail files you can flex to fit the curve. Take your time and check it often. Easier to get it right rather than trying to build it back up!Lire l'avis complet...

good buy. don't glue it in or over sand!

its just like its supposed to be. there's a curve that i assumed would have matched the neck. however, a previous builder glued the old nut in, which required a small chisel to get it out. Please don't glue your guitar nut or bridge to the guitar! When it needs replaced, it may break the whole thing. It's a crime to do that to a guitar. Anyway, the new nut works fine once it gets properly sanded to fit. Be careful not to over sand! Take your time and get it right!Lire l'avis complet...

9.5" Radius, Not 7.25" As Described

The specs for this nut lead you to believe that it will fit a vintage style (1950s to early '80s) 7.25" radius neck nut slot. However, what you'll end up getting is a well made Melamine nut that's actually 9.5" radius top and bottom. To date, the Fender web page for this product still hasn't updated the change in spec. Besides that, it's a bit too wide for real vintage spec necks, being 1 11/6" instead of 1 5/8". All in all, a big disappointment. Nicely made though!Lire l'avis complet...

Nearly perfect fit

This was *nearly* a drop in replacement for a 2006 Mexi Strat. The width is 100% perfect. However, the length was a little long by a few millimeters. Just sanding down evenly on both sides and comparing to the original nut solved that, taking it nice and slow. Depending on what hoodoo you believe about nuts and what material they should be, at the very least this takes a Fender back to stock, and will almost always be a good fit. This solved the open string buzzing issue I had with both a stock and TUSQ nut, and now my guitar feels "right".Lire l'avis complet...

Seller has good pre slotted nuts

Good cut and sound, needed no slot work, just centering and play. Fit like a glove.

All good

All good, it was a bit lose in my case, but it can be that the earlier non-original one was slighly to big. In length it's slightly standing out... nothing to worry. I'm happy

Can't Really Go Wrong...

Fits like a glove and make a great improvement in the overall sound of my guitar. Warmed it up a bit and freed up some sustain. Great product for the shade tree luthiers out there.
