My favourite of the Japanese manufacturers.

This size of pen fits my extra large hands perfectly. I find the extra girth of the section essential. The cap threads are low profile and do not interfere with my grip. The Realo balances well posted or not; my preference has been to use it posted. This is my second large Sailor pen (the other is a large Professional Gear) and their nibs have become my favourite, with just the right amount of feedback. The feedback is there, but it's not intrusive. This pen delivers a flawless line with perfectly balanced ink feed, using Diamine, Pelikan and Iroshizuku inks. I'm also a big fan of piston-fillers and the action on this pen is flawless. The ink capacity is all I would ever need. After some experiment, I keep this pen filled with Iroshizuku yama-budo, and it is a beautiful match with the barrel. I also love the ink window that's visible even when capped. Wonderful =- Sailor Pro Gear Realo Maroon.

Magnificent pen! Great, flowing nib - very smooth. I don't feel any supposed feedback that people say Sailor has. Very attractive!

Sailor 1911 Realo delivered early & with amazingly smooth nib!

Package arrived early, well packaged, and by registered mail (requiring signature). I immediately examined it, inked it up, and wrote with this Sailor 1911 Realo. What an amazing nib! This is a really nice pen. I like the ink viewing window in this pen better than the one in my Pelikan 200.

A great pen !

As advertised, it is really a beautiful maroon with a golden shining, smooth writing pen. I have almost 140 world class fountain pens so I can unhesitatingly say that.
