Outperforms my audiophile preamp

Since the original Tube-01 had been out of stock for so long, I opted for this more expensive version from Japan and am glad I did. With the stock Russian military tubes or the RCAs I swapped in, the 01j has a very open and vibrant sound. Bass extension is incredible and the highs airy and delicate. The noise floor is pretty low too. I first ran it in with a 12v laptop PS, which was fine, but a 12v regulated linear PS really made the unit shine, especially in the lower registers. I am running it into the HT bypass of my Parasound P5 preamp, so I can do on the fly comparison between the Parasound and the 01j: this little unit is more fun and engaging than the Parasound, which is 10x the price. The Parasound has all the bells and whistles and probably is more accurate with a better grip and control over dynamic music, but the 01j puts a smile on my face. Sounds great - switched tubes to JAN 5654W and added silicone damping rings; military grade 10-20K hour life

Rendu sonore de haut niveau avec de meilleurs tubes ...

Ce petit préampli est incroyable !
Bien sûr pour le prix on ne peux pas avoir un grand préampli, mais à l'écoute tel que, le rendu est d'un très bon niveau, sans rapport avec le prix demandé, ni la taille ... ( il faut changer les tubes d'origine et éventuellement l'alimenter sur batterie 12V ... voir changer le potentiomètre par un meilleur ... et peut être remplacer certains condensateurs ? )
Après tout ça, il rivalise avec des produits coûtant 10 fois le prix, voir bien plus ...
J'avais besoin d'un préampli full symétrique ( XLR vrai ) Je l'ai fabriqué à partir de 2 petits FX Tube 01 ... !
Et ça marche !
Il m'a juste fallu trouver des lampes parfaitement apairées ...
