Wireless for your older CF DLSR

Cool way to add wireless to older DLSRS. This device creates a type of AD HOC network to a Android or IOS device. I used it on a Android device. It works in much the same way the old Eye-Fi cards do but this uses a micro SD card which goes in the adapter.

You can then see photos on your device. Sadly transfers even when both camera and device are close can be slow. Plus the camera disconnects from the network when it powers down. This you can control. This is far from a perfect device but for $20.00 and a micro SD you get to review photos on a larger screen like a iPad or Android table. If you are shooting RAW transfers will be S-L-O-W.

This will deplete your battery quickly so use a battery power grip and have extra batteries handy. To use the unit you must download the app. WIFI@SDCF Its also on the Apple store. Images are stored on the micro SD card and can be reviewed on your device wirelessly when the camera is powered on and the network is connected. As a comparison I use a Eye-Fi card in a newer DLSR and its faster plus images are stored locally which can be seen even when I turn off my camera.

I have tried a CF to SD card adapter with a Eye-Fi card in the same DLSR and it also works and again I like the Eye-Fi card and others like it because they store photos locally. FYI: Most Eye-Fi cards no longer work and the company is out of business. Some do though but I would avoid buying one now.

Its worth the $20.00 I paid
