Great features, nice zoom and excellent video recording
This camera has great features. I love the 18x zoom. I'm still learning some of the features, but love the quality of the video. I'm still having problems on the picture resolution. When I set it to the highest quality, it's still not taking pictures at that level. It's like it's stuck on automatic and choses the resolution on its own. Great Bargain for Photographers!
The zoom on this Canon is amazing and it takes awesome HD videos. For newbies, it may take a while to adjust the settings, but they're all sharp and make your photos stand out. The camera is very easy to use and makes downloading to an app or your computer very easy. I've always bought Canon cameras and this one lives up to all of the expectations that Canon Powershots are known for. If you ask me, this is a point-and-shoot with the abilities of an SLR. I use this camera in all types of weather and get quality photos. Videos are excellent and will even capture fast moving airplanes at air shows. Great for starters
I got everything it came with, and I love it. It is easy to use and easy to look up the answers on youtube to any questions I had. I would recommend using good lighting rather then the flash because the flash isn't that great and to hook up the camera to the phone I had to down load three different aps til I found one that works for me, but once I found it and got it to work it was awesome ! Its helpful when you are in front of the camera and want to take pictures of yourself or a group shot. The only problem is I wish you could record with it rather then just take pictures. My 6th Canon Powershot
My first was an A40 & my latest is a SX610HS. I like the fact that Canon's method of operation is very consistent from camera to camera. I don't have to spend a lot of time learning how to operate the new camera. I take 700 - 800 photos a day and usually get over 300,000 photos, sometimes 500,000 photos before I have to replace my camera. The quality is very good, the price is right and the camera is easy to handle and light weight. Weight is important when you carry one 8 hours a day, sometimes up to 3 weeks at a time. I have purchased 6-7 Canon cameras and will continue with a new Canon when this one gets damaged. I dropped my last one on a concrete slab. great camera for the money

I love this Canon!
This is basically an upgrade of my Canon Elph 330 (that I dropped in the surf) It's nice that operation is very much the same, so it feels familiar and comfortable, but this one has a bigger non-glare screen, more megapixels and a bigger flash. I haven't had opportunity to do too much shooting yet, but am very happy with what I have done.I shopped around a lot and this was an awesome price as well.
