Good not great

These sensors seem to be accurate overall but my biggest complaint is the polling intensity. I understand there is always a trade off between battery life and functionality but the “Follow Me” feature would be so much better if these sensors refreshed more frequently than every 15 minutes. I have one sensor in the kitchen, where we will quickly run in to grab a snack or drink but then go back downstairs. Because of this, the sensor always detects upstairs as occupied, even for short trips like I mentioned. Due to the layout of our house, no other room makes sense for this sensor or I would have moved it. Overall, I’m glad I got them as they help create a temperature average between our basement and upstairs for the thermostat to shoot for but I wish the polling intensity was adjustable Lire l'avis complet...

Ecobee SmartSensor Room Sensor two-pack - flawless performance

Super little sensors do exactly what they are supposed to do - monitor and report temps in rooms where they are placed, communicating with the ecobee SmartThermostat with Voice Control in the hallway.. In its unified app, I can see at a glance the temp at the thermostat on the wall as well as the other three sensors. Smart and simple. Easy setup. Equipped with long life (five year) lithium flat cell. Ecobee "knows" when a room or room are unoccupied or occupied and operates the HVAC accordingly to attempt to provide uniform temperatures throughout the space.

Vastly improved build quality, does use an uncommon battery

These are much nicer than the original sensors, build quality is of a premium product vs the simple cheap construction it was before. Hopefully the new battery (unfortunately a less common size than the very standard cr2032) will last longer so requiring less frequent replacements. That’s the only downside is having to purchase different batteries.

I’m not sure if they are more accurate or not but their price was the same as the previous generation and I wanted the wider scanning for movement since I put them in larger rooms.Lire l'avis complet...

Works well so far. Price of the sensors are a little high for my taste.

Operates as expected. Does a good job regulating the three rooms that are monitored. If left alone the temps are usually within 1 to 2 degrees. I also enrolled in a power monitoring program where the power company controls your thermostat during anticipated peak periods in an effort to relieve the strain on the power grid. Works great! Very easy to setup.

Just found out that my music room and my sons bedroom are 1 degree cooler that other rooms
in the house.

Pros
1. Gives feedback to thermostat regarding the temperature in another room and if that room is occupied.
2. Nice to see the actual temperature in the room the sensor is located (using the ecobee app).

Incredibly easy to link and get going right out of the box. Both confirmed to report accurate temps and also both confirmed to proxy as main thermostat when needed. I'm slowly adjusting to Smart Technology.....

These extra sensors work great with my Ecobee smart thermostat. It's nice knowing the temperature in the sensored rooms and knowing I can remotely change the home temp as needed.

Temp readings wherever you need it!

Great and easy plug and run set up! I now have temperature control in the back part of my house. This device seamlessly connected to the app and was up and running in minutes.
