Koss inline volume control
There seem to be two different configurations of Koss volume controls on Ebay at this time. I wanted the one with the volume knob recessed so it would not change accidentally. It works easily enough when you slightly press your thumb on the knob to roll the knob.
Another reviewer complained that " it doesn't make it louder". Of course it doesn't, it is an inline variable resistor and will only reduce the sound. So you set the volume as loud as you would ever want it and then use the inline resistor to bring the sound down to a comfortable level. I did notice that the Chinese packaging says "increases volume". Well you can't believe everything you read. You need to know how these work.
The unit consists of two 1000 ohm variable resistors (pots) that change both left and right channels at the same time when you move the single knob. My unit moved smoothly and quietly with no static. My units case showed no screws, but evidently was glued together well. Another reviewer said that he had to glue his unit. Mine was fine. The cord and plug is heavy enough to get it done. The jack for the earbuds or headphones in in the end of the unit. The stereo plugs fit well and stay connected.
I am glad to get this because I had to use a headphone amp placed by my TV, and could not reach the volume knob on the amp from my bed. Now I will be able to cut back the volume for each program and especially commercials.

Small and works well

The only solution that works!
A must have for those with sensitive ears or tinitus. Lowest volume on cell phones is too loud. Especially when going to sleep. Wired headphones with volume control are almost extinct. This is the only solution to fine tune your volume and avoid too much dangerous WiFi. Opens up more selection for wired headphones that fit and sound good but missing volume control. Peace and Quiet for your neighbors
So many headphones today do not come with a separate volume control. This little device allows you to insert a volume control between the headphone and the device that is producing the sound. It's also great if two people are listening to the same program on separate headphones with a single cord but you need to adjust the volume to hear better without messing with your partners volume. Easy to use. Here's an example: I use an extension cord for my headphones so I plug the extension into my device, plug the volume controller into the extension cord and the headphones into the volume controller. If I need to, I'll turn up the volume on the device and adjust it down using the volume control at my finger tips. Works great! Recently my wife and I were watching TV while house guests were still sleeping nearby. We each had a separate volume control on our headphones which allowed us to hear the program while keeping the TV muted. My wife's hearing is better than mine so she could keep the volume a tad lower on her headphones, while I had mine a tad louder. Stay in Control
Watching films or listening to music from my desktop this controller a must have. The extra length allows me to stand up move around, or lay down at a distance. It's sturdily built casing and thick cord should last a long while under heavy use. The volume control dial is my favorite feature, well protected by the encasing. Just a little bit louder
I didn't get the one in the picture. I was sent an earlier model with the straight jack but it works great. It's that little bump in the volume instead of that notched jump. It allows fine tuning of the volume without any changes to the quality.Lire l'avis complet...

Koss volume control - very good
needed volume control so I could use my headphones to watch t.v. as the audio output of my tube is not controlled by the remote. the Koss works perfectly

Kiss VC20 Headset/Volume Controller VC20
The best thing I like about this product is that I can use it with the vintage cassette decks that can thru with the 1/4" stereo headphone jack. Also I need not forget that vintage stereo receiver I have comes with the 1/4" stereo headphone jack. But the cassette deck standing along is where is shines.
It get product at a great price. I don't know how long it will last. but it does the job. and forget to tell you it comes with a bit of extra cord also.
There another fact with this unit, I haven't been able to adjust either the right or left volume individual.
It might just be me, I treat it with care, so someone out may correct me on this remark. But will not force it .
I was surprise as to how well the headphone jack went into the volume control 3/8 stereo jack with any problems. It made very secure connection. I with could say that with other inter face connectors I have purchase the pass. Thumb up on this little unit.Lire l'avis complet...

Volume control
I use the volume control,with my metal detector. Ear buds is a lot cooler ,than head phones and is a lot lighter. Works real good.. Thanks
