GREAT TOOL....EXCELLENT VALUE

This is a necessary tool for gemology and this particular one is excellent. I think the photo might be misleading, unless the person shown using it drops the gem onto the gem stage...which is not a good idea. People may get this confused with the darkfield loupe which looks similar but is an entirely different device.
At any rate, I received mine very quickly and it arrived in perfect condition and works like a champ. I have since mounted it on an instrument stand which makes it a little less portable, but it disconnects in a snap. I was especially impressed with its solid construction.
