Would recommend for Xbox collectors

For a Counter Strike port to the console, this is about as good as it will get. It takes some time to get used to playing this with the controller if you are coming from a PC gaming world, but if you can find this game for cheap, it is worth it for the novelty at the least.

The menus in this game are well designed, but the one thing that is odd is the HUD during gameplay. It has larger text that is not transparent, and sticks out like a sore thumb at first. There are no options to adjust the HUD either.

Since there is no more Xbox Live for the original games, you won't be able to play online unless you used a third-party solution. There is LAN capability for a LAN party which is a nice feature to have. Even just with the bots, you will probably have a good time playing oldschool CS 1.6Lire l'avis complet...

Best pancake ever eaten

This game is equivalent to the best gosh darn pancake I've ever eaten; pancakes are an okay breakfast, so an excellent one is above average, like this game!

Best Game Ever

I began playing this on a computer, but haven't played for about 7 years due to not having it set up on my computer. This was the 1st game I bought after receiving my XBOX 360. You will need an upgrade to play it on the 360, but if you are hooked up to the internet, then it will do everything for you. This game is meant to be played online, so if you are looking for a game to play by yourself, don't buy this. The game is a bit old, and well a little outdated and it seems that the following has fallen out a bit. There are not many people playing, however there is just about always a host set up with at least 5 people playing. Some are really really good, but there are always beginners that make it easy for you to make a kill. The controls are a bit harder to get use to than it was on the computer, but like any game, you adapt. The hardest for me is lining up my cross-hares, the harder you push the faster it moves, the gentler the slower is moves. PC counterpart, almost as accurate and fun!

Everybody knows Counter Strike on the PC, but how does it fare in the Xbox world? Controllers cannot compare to mice when it comes to sensitivity and aim, but this is just as fun on Xbox. Campaign and multiplayer are so similar to PC, but with graphics improving on PCs, Xbox's version doesn't look quite as real. Due to a lack of keyboard, Xbox's version successfully converts the buy zone to an easy task. A simple and addicting first person shooter, Counter Strike on Xbox draws you in with it's graphic headshots and difficulty. Online play is just as fun, compared to on the PC, and even with Xbox 360's advancements, there are still players on Xbox Live playing this game. Different maps than on PC and fun missions truly makes the campaign worth the buy and multiplayer, either against friends, on Xbox live, or just against the CPU, nothing compares (except Halo). Yay for CS!

CS is a very popular game, why I still don't know. Either way, I have never been a big fan but many of my friends usually force me to play it on PC. The game is not horrible, it's just not godlike.>
Fortunately, the xbox version is imo better than the PC because not only is it harder to find cheaters but also the gameplay is much less quick paced and funner. I also enjoy how big the CS xbox community is and how easy it is to find a game.Lire l'avis complet...

Review of Counter Strike

The things that I loved about it was that it was easier to start a match than the PC version and you can customize your own match and have up to 11 CPUs. The things that I hate about the game is that the graphics on the PC version were better than the Xbox version and that the CPUs on your side are not that helpful, because they just go to a spot and sit there until an enemy comes to them and you only have 5 minutes per round to ether kill all of the enemies, bomb their base, or save the hostages. Counter-Strike Review for XBOX

It's the fun, fast action paced, FPS for the PC but for the XBOX Now compatible for the 360, but it's not anything like the PC version. A must for die hard counter-strike fans, but people who are just getting into the game will be disappointed. Similar to Halo's button configuration so it's easy to move around, but will take some time getting use to. Fun on xbox live, but still missing a few maps from the PC Counter-Strike
