They just aren't Elixirs.
These are like a black colored version of the first iteration of Elixr strings - thus hey also suffer from the same criticism, a "dead sound."
They aren't bad but they aren't great. That said I love the aesthetic, I just wish they played more like the latest version of Elixr strings.

Soft feel, soft sound, meh....
I've always heard good things about these strings so I thought I'd try em out. I have mixed feelings about them. They feel GREAT on my fingers, almost a 'soft' feel. They look very cool on my black and white strat. But... It seems like the sound is somewhat muted - maybe even darker I would say. I dont know if its just in my head or for real but I likely will not use these on other guitars.Lire l'avis complet...

Last insanely long. No corrosion. Just don't use a metal pick it it will take the coating off.
