Works as intended
I have not had time to use the conversion much, but my initial test seems to indicate the item is well made and serves the purpose. After more time I can update my impression, but for now I am happy.

Its all metal, good bang for the bucks!
For the price its a good deal, its not as high a quality as a Dewalt or a Milwaukee, but then those cost over three times as much! It remains to be seen how long the chuck will last, I can say that it has the same components as the higher quality name brand types, ...Its all metal, so I like that! Upgrade your Impact
Great way to use standard hss, cobalt or carbide straight shank drill bits on your 1/4 inch hex recess impact. The savings in the difference between hex shank drill bits and straight shank drill bits alone pays for this chuck. Plus you can chuck the adapter and use 1/2 square drive for your impact. Perfect tool to convert my impact driver into a drill.
I have a drill set that came with a drill and an impact driver. For a particular application, I needed to have two drills with bits chucked up. It worked great for that. The hex shaft locks perfectly into the driver and provides a solid connection while still allowing quick removal to change bits.
I was disappointed more in my driver than the product. I bought it to drill holes in concrete blocks. I had hoped this would convert the impact driver into a "poor man's hammer drill". It did not do that, but it did make it into a perfectly fine drill that worked for the purpose.Lire l'avis complet...

Careful if you don't have a grinder
The end is a bit long to click into a dewalt impact gun. You have to grind off about 1/4" and then it fits perfect. Not sure about other brands. Great price, good value.

Great for unibits when used with battery operated impacts
These are fantastic for Unibits used with impact drills, such as for electricians..........impact drills make the unibit turn so much slower, which extends the life of the unibit drill bit.....whereas drill motors tend to burn up unibits due to their high speed while running the unibits.........and local hardware stores such as HD or Lw's only sell keyless versions, which are terrible, the keyless versions always permanently lock the drill or unibit and wont release them ever again......this is where the "key" is awesome....hereLire l'avis complet...

Okay, with modification.
The adapter I received wouldn’t lock into my Dewalt impact driver, it would slip off if pointed downward. The detent on the shaft was too far up the shaft for it to lock in. I used my bench grinder to grind off about 1/4” off of the shaft. Now it locks in just fine and now works as it should.Lire l'avis complet...
