Works perfectly - my PS3 slim is working again!
This is the way to go if you want your PS3 slim to be able to read all discs again (CD/DVD/Blu Ray/Games). There is a great video on YouTube that will guide you on how to take the PS3 slim apart and swap out the nonfunctional laser head. Highly recommended!Lire l'avis complet...

Works good.
Worked well. You need to switch the daughter board out in the drive with your old one in order to get it to work. Took me about an hour to replace. Saved me from having to get a new ps3.

As advertised
Everything as promised. It took me less then 20 minutes to remove the old drive. I then tried installing the new drive assembly as is thinking I didn't have to swap drive boards. Wrong. As the seller mentions, you have to swap boards. That took the longest as there was glue on the screws. Still with me not listening, I managed to have my PS3 working like new in under an hour. Purchased 2 from ace electronics shop
Purchased and installed 2 of these about 3 weeks ago both PS3's (slim 120gb CECH-2001a) are working great thus far with no further read errors or delays. Install took like one hour being careful and with YouTube video. My PS3 suddenly stopped reading blu-rays (would still read DVDs) after it froze in the middle of one movie. My bro's PS3 took forever to read discs but after 15-20 minutes would eventually load. Both now fixed hopefully will be good for years.Lire l'avis complet...

I ordered a PS3 Blu-ray disc drive was definitely worth the money it came well packaged very quickly within a few days. Worth spending the extra bit of money to get the entire disk drive unit instead of a single laser assembly everything's already in tact pretty much plug-in play. After a few tutorial videos online, it was a very installation. The bluray drive was in good condition. Play station 3 will now play bluray movies and games.
