If you you're a fan of Twisted Metal try this

Vigilante 8 is a car combat game that is very similar to Twisted Metal but still feels like a different game. The vehicles in this game actually feel like they have weight to them and in general feels much more playable then TM 1 or 2 both physics wise and weapons wise. The stages are also really fun too with secret areas to discover full of helpful pickups and while not being as destructive as Twisted Metal still have unique layouts and structures in them that make them memorable. Also the game has an amazing menu theme.

In some ways I'd say this game is actually better then most Twisted Metal games out there so if you're a huge fan of the TM franchise then I definitely recommend giving this game a shot.Lire l'avis complet...

Excellent classic PS1 game

Wonderful nostalgic feel that will surely bring back memories of the good old days.

Various car with unique special abilities to choose from.
Assortment of weaponry that can be utilized in many different way to gain an advantage over your opponents.

Large maps with destructible environments.
Coop modes and versus.
Campaign mode. Only downfall is that the campaign is not 2 player coop.

V8 Transends all systems and games system period! just an incredible game with a good cheat code system to enjoy the game to the fullest fast!

The seller sold me an excellent quality V8! This is hands down one of the best PS1 games ever! Sound, game engine and realistic physics, and funky music put it over the top!

This was a great purchase. When we got it and tried to boot it up it wouldn't play. So we ran the disc cleaner. It still didn't work until we rebooted it four times. Since then it's booted up perfect every time. It's a great game and we are enjoying having it. I only paid $9 for it and so it didn't come with the original case or the booklet. Great game

I remember having the demo back in the day and I forgot how much fun it was playing this game. This is a great game to have if you like racing, and destroying things and like challenges.

one of the few great head to head car combat games.better than twisted metal.its like a game of chess you got to think every move out if you want to survive,its the closest thing, intense wise to madden.my friends and i all had a
blast playing v8 1&2 we love it thats why we keep coming back..

the greatest car combat game ive ever played. my friends and i have had compeditive battles to the very end.its the most played game (since it came out )between me and my friends,even games like,all madden football games,all race games(nfs,mid ngt club 3,ect;one thing that makes this so good,is a high fun factor.(once learded,between friends,you can"t put it down.the compation can be fierce.)it needs instantreplay.(of last 30 sec.of match)need Vigilante 3 long over due.best game of its type,that includes all the Twisted Metal games.the most reckomened game for freinds who like good compatition.little bit old but keeps with the new.I bought it for the two player action,me and 10 others have never regreated it.MY frieds and I did not like how,after V-8 2 we did not see V-8 3.But did see countless Twisted Metal games,with a low FUN FACTOR. Cars destroying the scenario and everyone else, what else do I need to say?

First of all I'd like to say that this is an amazing game (some people who played both V8 games (like me) would rather go for the first V8 (maybe because of the last character you'll unlock, hint hint) but I'll stay with V8 2nd Offense because they fixed what was wrong on the first V8 and added some cool features, even though some quests are boring to death and require a partner (yes, co-op quest) to do it properly... Overall this game can be better than Twisted Metal on Quest mode (because Twisted metal gives you a few lives and you have to go with them until your ending movie, while on V8 you can retry and come back to earlier stages to your heart's content) This game is also a great source of fun... not that forced fun but REAL fun (on Arizona stage you can get chased by an invincible cop car who blows your tires by touching you, also there's an alien ant who will keep shooting laser beams on you, and even more fun things on other maps... not to mention some funny special attacks...)
Right now you might be thinking of many other games like this (such as Split/Second, MotorStorm and others) well, if you're a fan of the classics, like me, just take a look at gameplay videos (if there's any) or screenshots and leave the trophy/achievement hunt aside for a while, I'm sure you gonna like this game...Lire l'avis complet...

The 2nd best car combat game of it's time

This game is the flip side to twisted metal set in the 1970's with a funny side to it. Two car gangs the vigilantes & the coyotes fight in different boards that range from ski resorts, oil fields, canyon roads, vegas, ghost town & etc. The controls of the game are solid, weapons include rockets, missiles, machine guns, mortars, mines, turrent cannon, & each cars special weapon. Must of the weapon will be inside of brown crates that say us army, but the special weapon for your car is in green crates. the fire rate of weapons is slower for certain weapons like the rockets you just hold down the fire button and they will fly, but missiles and mortars fire with a second delay. but a fun must have you have twisted metalLire l'avis complet...

Have you ever waken up one day and say to yourself "Man, I wonder if I could have a machine gun on my car" then listen up. Vigilante 8 has that! The game is a car shooter-up. You get to choose cool cars that come equiped with machine guns as well as their own special attack. Along with that, while driving through the level you get to find cool weapon pick-ups like rocket shells,missles,mines,and mortars. The game shows an excellent style of gameplay and superb graphics.
