Good for AMD based cards.
I recently bought an HIS Radeon R7 360 2GB card, and 3 SCEPTRE E248W-1920 Black 24" monitors, and for whatever reason the only way I can sync all 3 of them on Windows 10 64bit with the new AMD CrimsonDrivers is over HDMI, but the R7 360 only has one HDMI port on the card, but knowing I could convert my 2 duallink DVI ports to HDMI I got these adapters, and some 6ft HDMI cables cheaper than a premade DVI to HDMI cable, now all 3 of my monitors are synced at full 1080p 60hz. I only took off 1 star because if you don't screw them down tight to your card(more so than I normally like because you can strip the threads of your connector) they can cause some random color banding glitches, and they are hard to screw down only doing it by hand, and I had to get my computer tool kit with a small flathead screwdriver. so get these if you need them for your setup like I did, and you will be happy. P.S. just make sure to order 1 or 2 extra in case you get a bad one or one breaks/goes bad down the road, since they are at such a nice price. :-)Lire l'avis complet...

Decent Adapter
I bought this adapter to accept my computer's HDMI cable to the monitor which has HDMI, but also DVI. I use the HDMI plug for the television STB and the DVI for my computer input. Thus, the need for this adapter that has served well in my application. The finger screws for the DVI connector side is a little tight thus making tightening the screws a tad difficult. This adapter will work with certain types of laptops and video adapter combinations but not all as per the title,However it does work well.
I have a HP Pavillion G7 from 2013 and my girl has one from 2010 and hers works but not mine.. Checked drivers and device panel and still nothing.. Different modes and resolutions.. nope... works as intended, with adjustments
I first tried using this for my monitor, (32" tv), but created distortion. Switched the hdmi so my monitor is on the actual hdmi output, and this adapter runs the 55" tv through hdmi, and it works perfectly. A great way to add a second hdmi output to an older video card!Lire l'avis complet...

Great little gadget...!
With technology always changing and computers being even more sophisticated it's nice to have an inexpensive, user-friendly gadget to hook up additional monitors to these more sophisticated machines! Quich solution for old monitors

Works With old Plasma
My old plasma TV does not have HDMI and my new cable box only has HDMI. This converter solve the problem. For sound, I ran the optical digital output of the cable box directly to my AV receiver.
