Great headphones, great built, strong components. About the sound I will be honest, at first I thought my headphone were defective but after reading a few forums and getting my sound card settings right, wow man, totally different experience.
I could hear everything in every possible location, plus the famous footsteps coming from behind.

Excellent headphones!

Best headset I have ever owned! Even better than the v1 set! The inline controls make everything simple to adjust and the ability to seamlessly switch to my regular speakers with just the push of a button is fantastic! The ear pads are very soft but can get a little warm as they are made of a plastic leather and not cloth. They rest very evenly on my head and the swivel in the ear pieces makes them very comfortable! The resistance band isn't too tight and does not give me a headache after wearing it for several hours. The lighting is neat but it's on a headset that you are wearing on your head so it's not like you will see it very often.Lire l'avis complet...

Top of the line 7.1 Gaming Headset.

this is my 2nd headset, same model.
my 1st one is still workable but only in 5.1 mode due to my working having me moving to different states a lot and my poor packing lead to the cord that joins the headset to the PC became loose, I had fixed it some time ago to get it to work on 7.1 modes however I seem to not be able to find that sweet spot again. =(

This is why I Ordered a 2nd headset same model, to replace my old one.
I have no problems with this Headset it works above and beyond my expectations.

Pro:
-Crystal clear Audio in both 5.1 and 7.1 modes.
-Crystal clear mic, no interference or static.
-very comfortable to wear even for prolong periods.

Con:
- they don't sell this model @ Razer store's anymore
-The price have been jacked up due to limited numbers left in circulation
-need a proper soundcard to use this headset.

Bought this to hold me over until the new Asus Strix 7.1 is out. Item is used and does have a little wear (expected) Sounds a hell of a lot better than the simulated surround head sets. I've had a bunch and so far nothing has been able to give me the sound as my old 5.1 tritons. I wish it was still available but this one fits the bill for my needs. It would be even better is this will work on a console.
I like the idea of the extra room for adding a review but sheesh this is a pain. If you want true surround this is the way to go, without disrupting the household.Lire l'avis complet...

Great purchase, worth its value

I have always been a Razer fan, these headsets work like a beauty the sound is amazing, though remember its meant for gaming so bass doesn't sound that good. They are comfortable and fit any size of head. I wear glasses and feel no discomfort whatsoever. Microphone isn't the best after using it for almost 2 years now the mic does lose its quality. If you are looking for a headset with a great mic quality the Gamecom 780 mic is the one you want! The Razer Tiamat 7.1 is a great headset. It has amazing audio when you tune it the right way, and is great for playing games, listening to music, and watching movies. Its one major flaw is a horrible mic. I always play online with my friends, and they described me sounding like, "You sound like you are in a box in a tunnel underwater.". If you use a separate mic, then 10/10 I recommend this product. It is very aesthetically pleasing, and great audio quality. Best deal I’ve gotten

These were exactly what I was looking for in a headset, makes others feel cheap, Razer is awesome the bs reviews about this headset are nonsense , works as I thought and as Razer said , user problems with bad reviews make sure your sounds card is capable and you won’t be disappointed!!!!
They are awesome looking and the surround sound is the best pair it with a Razer sound bar and woofer
