I used this splitter for a pair of headphones that had a cord without a in line mic but it would cut out too easily. I knew the cord with the inline mic worked fine for devices like my cell phone. I can't speak much to the quality of the mic connection but I did get some sign of the sound being received on my computer. I have an older desktop that has two separate inputs; one for mic and one for headphones. The headphone sound quality out of it is great and these headpnones were about $150.00 when I bought them refurbished. This is useful if you have a device like a smartphone, tablet, or laptop that has only one 3.5mm socket. That single socket works with earbuds with a built-in microphone. Not stereo

If you want the right ear to have different sound from the left, this is not the product for you. Both the right and left ears output the same sound.

it works

Adapts 4-contact 3.5mm plugs (such as those found on cell phone headsets) to computers with separate phone/mike jacks. Seems reasonably well made. Works for me.

Not what I was looking for

I need a splitter where the male ends both handle a headset. In this case one is for headset, the other is fir mic. If you can help me locate what I'm looking for I would appreciate it.
