FMODS 70 hz high pass 12db/octave

Using the FMOD 70 HZ. high pass, to passively biamp a set of Infinity Infinitesimal Ver. .2 sattelitte speakers, over to a 12 " Watkins dual drive subwoofer, powered by a Yamaha 250 wpc pro amp.
Class A Zen amp on top, Yamaha pro amp on bottom. Low pass control on Yamaha amp set at 24 db/oct/70 hz.
I expected some veiling of the sound,(using passive filtration), through the Infinity's. I hear none. The system is relaxed, slightly warm sounding, and very sweet. The stereo image is very wide, with good depth. Detail is great.
I am buying 150 hz high pass to try and see if a higher cutoff is even better. Would be hard to believe it could sound better, but experimenting is half the fun.
Very happy with the FMOD high pass filters, and very pleasantly surprised. I recommend them, definitely.Lire l'avis complet...
