It may not be a smart phone but at less than $20 it is a great deal!

The phone's condition was listed as heavily used but when it arrived it looked brand new.

I am extremely happy with the phone. It has very good signal reception, good audio during phone conversations, good still/video camera, can be used as an mp3 player, easy to add and edit contacts, easy to send text and multi media messages, has three alarm clocks and many other tools. I don't have an internet capable service plan so I can't comment on the phone's online browsing performance. The phone was easy to connect to my computer using its Bluetooth features. I mainly connect phone and computer directly using USB data cable that comes with the charger. After installing a driver on my computer I downloaded from LG I can also charge phone from one of the computer's USB ports.Lire l'avis complet...

Don't Flip Out

It's the only phone that my wife has used for years, in fact she has had about five of them. The phone has lots of good features; great sounding external speakers, it's slim, and very dependable. Excellent choice for non-data users!

I purchased this phone because I did not want to sign a new contract with Verizon; and I did not want to obligate myself for a data plan either. I had obtained a different phone from a friend that had poor sound quality and some serious user issues...the "touch" screen didn't work well; and I was constantly accidentally cutting off incoming calls. This phone was recommended to me by my daughter, and it lives up to her recommendation. It is very easy to use, small (but the keypad and screen are a good size); the battery lasts a long time, and the sound quality is good. It really works like a phone should! I also was able to load up the MP3 player and use it very easily. The sound quality when I plug into my car is better than the integrated CD player! So, bravo to LG...and I wish they would continue to make such a nice non-data plan phone!Lire l'avis complet...

Nice phone, but,

I wish it had a loop for a lanyard. I need one to get it out of my pocket. Have not used it yet so I can't say if it is a good phone or battery. Shipment was great. Thank you

The best phone I've owned and I was a Verizon dealer for over 15 years.

I bought the Chocolate 3 because I don't need (or want) a smartphone but I did want a good camera phone. If I want to access the web I'm usually near a computer and will do it there, not on a phone! I did have a bug with it for a short time- after charging I would have to turn it off, then on again as it came on by itself without being able to gain a signal- almost as if it was in 'airplane' mode.
At first battery life was only so-so, a few days, which for most smartphone users would be a dream come true! So I picked up an extended battery for it (I was a Verizon dealer at the time) at my supplier for $6 and battery life went to nearly two weeks! An extended battery makes this phone a dream- and easier to hold for my large hands. I told a friend who also had this phone to buy the extended battery and he could NOT believe how much longer each charge lasts! The extended battery requires a special extended battery door so be sure to get both.
I've had the phone for well over three years and will most likely try to buy a new, off contract, one when it finally does die. If you're not in need of a smartphone I highly recommend this phone, with extended battery, as a great, reliable phone, with fantastic battery life. And a decent camera as well. I don't use the mp3 player much, but with microSD capability, that might be a bonus for some.Lire l'avis complet...

an attractive, useful and inexpensive phone for them not on a data plan

Bought a used blue/silver vx8560 more than a year ago for my daughter & it performed very well. Now I use it (got her a Samsung Brightside at AmazonWireless for $0.01 hehe) and have been pleased with the features. The mp3 player is nifty, I like the 'phone-closed' operability, the Bluetooth connectivity, the SDHC card memory, and the look. Also have fun with animated gifs on BOTH screens. The camera is low-res but color is true and you can adjust exposure with a side-button, and zoom with the dial-wheel quite easily. I found a deal on the extended battery and back cover for that too & while it's a bit bulkier, the battery life is GREAT! Good, simple phone. Easy to use. No frills, but good overall.

Nice, simple phone. Easy to work with, etc. Don't buy it for the frills, though, as it doesn't offer much. The camera doesn't even zoom in/out. Also, on my previous one of this model an external button seemed to have gotten "stuck" as it started doing crazy things and the screen started blanking out, etc. But I use it while working, so I'm not exactly easy on phones. A sturdy phone, great features.

I have had this phone for 2 1/2 years. I was overdue for an upgrade and went into the store to find a similar phone. However, the company has downgraded all their basic phones to promote their smartphones because they make so much more money off of them. I was not interested in a smartphone because I dont want a data plan that would cost me at least and extra $30.00 a month for features I dont personally need. However I did not want their basic phones because they have dropped features like the video camera, music storage, and dropped the number of pixels on the camera (horrible photo quality) Not to mention pricing these basic phones $30.00 above what I paid originally years ago for this phone.

They do not offer these at the stores because they want you to buy their smart phones. I would recommend buying these 100%over getting a smartphone, (if you dont need one) or an overpriced basic phone without any features at all.Lire l'avis complet...

LG chocolate is a very nice phone

Very nice product if you don't need or want a smart phone. It is a good size and does exactly what it is suppose to do. No problems with battery life, very easy to use.

flip phone with loud speaker and large windows, inside and outside.love it

excellent phone with loud speaker which is the reason i purchased this phone twice. good camera and user friendly. i like that it has a large outside and inside window compared to other cameras. i also like the flip phone so numbers are protected and don't get pressed accidently in your handbag. if you don't need texting it is a great phone. i just purchased this phone after owning one for 3-4 years after my original broke,and although it's the same style phone, the battery doesn't last more than a day, probably because it has been in someone's warehouse for quite a while.Lire l'avis complet...
