A great camera that can use old lenses allows versatility on a budget. .

I bought this camera primarily to take advantage of its compatibility with K-mount lenses, and for its affordability. I also liked the flexibility of its use of AA or CR3 batteries. When I received the camera, it took no more than an hour with the instruction manual and on-line sources, to start taking pictures with the manual focus lenses I have had for twenty or so years. I bought the versatile SMC Pentax DA 18-55 mm auto focus as a standard lens, and picked out four old lenses that if new, would cost much more than the camera. I am amazed at the ease of switching lenses, and modes with this camera. I was able to use my old Pentax lenses, and several after-market K-mount lenses without a hitch. For a modest sum, and with a little used lens hunting, a lot of photopower can be had. The similar K100d has a couple more features that make it a good candidate as well.Lire l'avis complet...

Awesome Camera to have and use!

This is a very comfortable camera for your hands. Easy to use also. I don't have a user's manual to be able to use all the features yet but there seems to be alot of them. One of the things I like best about this camera is that I have a fully manual Pentax and some lenses that are manual/digital convertables. Better than a point and shoot

I am a professional photographer and thought of buying a point and shoot or bridge camera to keep in my car in something interesting presented itself. Buy more recent models unless it is a sweet deal!

In it's day, it was a fine camera. But by today's standards, it is lacking. 6.1MP, NO IMAGE STABILIZATION, slower, 9 point autofocus, lack of automatic dust removal system, and fairly high noise in higher (1600+ ISO) means you would be MUCH better off buying a more recent entry level camera, such as the K-2000, Km or Kx, which should not cost much more, but would give many more features . . . . . .

Still, it takes fine photos - in the right hands. If you can buy it for 100-150, why not? Any more than that, and it is a waste of money.Lire l'avis complet...

an excellent buy

camera exactly as advertised-I already own the same camera so this purchase allows me to experiment with my former slr lenses leaving the digital lens on one of the camera bodies

I use Pentex since 1982

I always had Pentax camera when I was young, I still have 3 Pentax K1000 35mm. and I purchase this camera, I can use the 7 lens I have from my old camreas on this one.

had a little trouble getting the camera to work with the zoom lens i bought for it but once i called pentax they were glad to help me get the camera and lens working and was very easy to do. would definately reccomend this camera to othersLire l'avis complet...

Pentax K110D camera

I bought the camera, not because it was the latest and greatest because it is not, but because it is a great learners camera. Simple, very automatic and good looking pics.
