Braun recommends changing the foil and cutter every 18 months. Mine lasted 3 years! The key to longevity is keeping the blade and foil CLEAN, after every shave. Loose stubble trapped inside the shaver takes its toll on the high-speed moving parts inside. Also, only buy the German-made 51S or NOS 8000 Series cutting blocks. Avoid the 5-Series "Honeycomb" foils, as they snag hairs badly. Get the OEM Activator or 51S 8000 Series with the stamped, "flower" patterns on the surgical-grade steel foils.

Mine is 10 years old and the battery still keeps charge like new. The slide-up side trimmer is much better than the newer, 7 and 9 series pop-up shaver trimmers. As long as you source the NOS replacement accessories....you can use this fine unit easily for another decade.Lire l'avis complet...
