Great CD's; Expected broken Case

This 2 CD set has all the songs from 3 LP Albums that Ronstadt did with the Nelson Riddle Orchestra. They are all smooth jaz songs and her voice is truly amazing. I have one of the albums and am looking for the other two. I wanted the CD to play on computer. Jewel case is broken, but I knew that and was only interested in the CD's.Lire l'avis complet...

Vocals that bring back the golden age of crooning

The best thing about the recordings is the lack of artificial enhancement...all you get is incredible orchestrations, performed by "professional" musicians, and capped of with the crystal clear, "made for the forties" voice of Linda Ronstadt, clearly in her prime. Another thing that impresses me aboput this recording is....Ms. Ronstadt certainly did not have to do this type of recording...she was, by all means, a star in her own right at the time. Rather it was her extreme interest and fascination with the crooners of the big band era, that led her away from the pop music to the grand ballrooms of a bygone era. A great find.

Very clean and appeared to be undamaged. Hasnt been played all the way through yet, looks ok. Bought for my sister for Christmas and she was delighted. Arrived on time.

Wonderful Music!

This CD set is out of production, so you can only get a used set. The orchestration is very good - done just right. That, combined with Ronstadt's voice, makes this a collector's item. Stick to rock’n roll Linda

Give her full marks for effort, she did the Mexican music phase, then these old obscure songs from my parent’s era, mostly not very melodic and certainly not familiar today. I kept maybe 3 or 4 on my playlist, the rest deleted. She has a great voice and lots of great albums. This isn’t one.Lire l'avis complet...

Old "Hat King Cole type music! I'm glad I got it on CD now! She is Amazing n this and the Mexican type music too! The orchestra is the best with her on this!

Nothing short of perfection. Lyrics and music given the very best. Captures the past when real romance was in style. You can feel the different emotions these songs were meant to provide.

Very good double CD sound is superb and mix is good a little repetitive but all in all excellent.
