Offering free shipping benefits ebay (helps them compete against another big company and that's why they push it) and no one else because shipping does cost something and you will pay it one way or the other. Free shipping HURTS THE BUYER if they buy multiple items because they pay full shipping on multiple items. It's a shame that you don't realize who is helping you and who isn't. Don't be fooled or misled by marketing.
