Carefully packaged - sturdy box, inner waterproof bag, and the kimono was in a tatoshi - a traditional paper wrapper used to protect and store the kimono. Kimono carefully and properly folded with tissue to protect and support it. The kimono is absolutely gorgeous and even prettier than in the pictures and better than the accurate description. Excellent value and I liked the little note from the seller and a little surprise extra, too.
