    If you got $10 to blow this product does what you'd expect a non existing $4 product could do.

    Natural finish absorbs well and enriches dark and light cork coloring making it look and feel finished. Says it seals. A little goes a long way. Shipping should be free. Knock a few bucks off you'll still profit it's 2 oz for Christ sake.

    Great product for your expensive equipment!

    Great stuff! I highly recommend putting this on your brand new rod cork handles before using your new rods! Makes a whole of difference in the longevity of the cork handles.

    U-40 is amazing stuff!!

    Seems to be a fortified water-based polyurethane. I guess the same product from your local hardware (polycrylic) would work too. Nonetheless, U-40 goes on easy and dries invisibly. And only a dab 'll do ya. For my older rods I cleaned the cork with a Mr. Clean white scrubber -- worked well, little to no abrasive effect. I'd buy it again any day.

    U-40 review

    I fish...ALOT! I'm pretty picky about what condition my gear is in as I am not financially well off...I work dirty work for a skinny dime. Anyways, all the preventative maintenance I can do, I will. This U-40 CORK SEALER restored all my rod handles to a LIKE NEW finish after I cleaned & filled the holes and cracks with wood putty. Made a HUGE difference. Not sticky, it dries and feels like brand new cork. 1/2 bottle covers 10 rods. I'll use this product untill the day I drop. I personally guarantee you will too.

    I love to waterproof the corks of my fishing rod. I do not like the hardness when painting with varnish and this is the best obcion. When the jar will open, it should be used immediately with everything you want to waterproof since once the jar opens, at two or three months it turns into gelatin.

    Great sealant!

    Stellar cork sealant. Darkens the cork a bit but works great and still feels like cork and personally I think it looks great with the contrast. Clean the cork with water and a microfiber cloth, let it sit a few days to dry then apply with a brush. It is a little pricey but I tried a few alternatives that were awful.

    Positive experience

    I had an older fishing rod with a cork handle that needed to be cleaned up. Once it was cleaned I used the U-40 cork sealer and now it’s like I have a new fishing rod. Great product!

    Super Quality Cork Sealant

    I cleaned (found Dawn dish soap and toothbrush works best) and sealed 2-25 year old rods and 8 new rods and have found U-40 to be a quality cork sealant. I have even fished several rods and it does not change the cork texture. Just seals and protects! Highly recommend… WM

    Very good

    I used it on both old & new rods. It darkens the cork a little which I like. Seems to give it a nicer feel too.

    Good cork fishing rod handle sealant.
