    Disappointing

    I was so disappointed by this kit that I bought a Tamiya version. After looking at both kits there is no comparison. Having completed about 60 to 70% of the Trumpeter kit I can safely say that there are many problems with parts simply not fitting, or with poor or nonexistent attachment points. Perhaps I am not following instructions correctly-which I found to be unclear, but I was troubled by the fact that the gun bay won’t come close to fitting unless you remove the magazines and simply glue the barrels in from the outside. Or, struggle to get the rear fuselage to fit the front unless you omit the turbojet engine. There are modelers out there with much better skills than mine who could have made this kit work with more trimming, sanding and filling than I was willing to do. For my middling skill set however no bueno. I have built 35 models of various kinds since I retired two years ago so I’m no rookie either.

    Super kit.

    No plastic model kit is durable. Great detail, great cockpit and cannons. Good design. Not for beginners.
