Great product - fits 2004 4runner
Perfect fit for my 2004 Toyota 4Runner Limited. If you're replacing your spare tire hoist, I recommend cutting off the two outside bolts (that holds on the shield/shroud around the hoist) and then it's way easier to get to the 4 inside bolts. I didn't use the same size bolts as the original, but instead went one size down (1/4") and used loctite to hold my own nuts & bolts on. This will make it way easier to replace in the future if/when it rusts out again.Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : Neuf

Better than expected!
Replacing the oem spare tire carrier on my '08 4runner was a fairly easy task. Finding/ordering a replacement left me with some qualms. The 4th gen carrier used an uncoated braided steel cable. It rusts, eventually begins to fray, and ultimately becomes unusable. I was prepared to deal with this again. BUT the item I purchased is from the 5th gen (presumably) and uses a heavy duty rust-proofed chain. A chain!! I was so pleased when I unboxed this item, more so when it was installed knowing this should now be a "forever part". Worthy upgrade for any 4th gen Toyota 4runner!Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : Neuf

2005 Toyota 4-runner chain link spare tire carrier
The old spare tire carrier for my 2005 4-runner had a cable that would move the spare tire up and down, and the metal cable would eventually fray over time and use, and this updated carrier uses metal chain links, which should hold up better. the chain link carrier works very smoothly, and is a direct replacement for the old cable type.Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : Neuf
