A great buy for the novice.
Not all turbo 400's are 400's some are 475's. This is a great book for the 400. The torque specs are correct and are handy near the back of the book. As a novice, that book was very helpful and the pictures were very clear. The transmission that I thought I was rebuilding, the 400 ended up actually being a 475. Yes, the tail shaft was different but the drive gears were different as well. When I was searching for the correct parts for my transmission, I found out that not all 400's are the same. Thanks to the book, I found that my original 475 was missing the tailstock bearings and spacer and for some reason still worked.

Th400 book
It is a book. It is a must have for reference when you don't rebuild th400 on regular basis. I have a book for every different trans I have overhauled in last 5 yrs.

nice manual, easy to read and understand it will be an asset to this build. It doesn't get into mods or performance tips or tricks.
