Product Information

Capture that moment in time that you never want to forget with the black Sony HDR-PJ230 8 GB Camcorder. It features both an 8 GB integrated memory storage and a removal memory storage port that supports Memory Stick PRO Duo Mark 2 and PRO-HG Duo plus SD, SDHC, and SDXC memory cards. Use the flip-out 2.7-inch display for a better view of what you are recording. Video resolution is 2.2 MP and the still resolution is 8.9 MP. What's more, the video is recorded in 1080p HD and the photo format is JPEG. Additional features include 27x optical zoom, 320x digital zoom, and the NTSC recording system. Lastly, SteadyShot image stabilization reduces blur even when shooting on the move.

    Good, lightweight, & versatile.

    This little rig doesn't weigh much so it's perfect for when you want to travel light. It shoots decent video and stills, obvsly not the IQ of a higher end rig, but adequate for basic documenting. It has a built in cord for charging and a bonus feature you don't often find: a built in projector. Again, not on the level of higher end gear but definitely usable for casual situations.
