Sonos Connect:Amp
The Sonos Connect:Amp was purchased to replace an old amp (non-Sonos). I have other Sonos products but having an amp was a new experience. The setup was the same as for my other Sonos speakers-straight forward and easy. It took me less than 15 minutes to unbox it, attach my speaker leads to it, remove the old amp, and complete the Sonos setup using the app. The sound quality from the speakers is excellent! Sonos CONNECT:AMP - the best option for building a whole house sound system
I now own five CONNECT:AMP devices. They are extremely easy to setup and provide excellent synchronization when playing music in multiple rooms (using multiple CONNECT:AMPs). I like having the ability to provide my own speakers - allowing me to control the quality of the output. Having the subwoofer output and a media source input are also very nice. It would be great if Sonos would build into these the ability to control more than one set of speakers so you could do surround sound, but to do that, you have to buy their PlayBar (another excellent product) and their subwoofer and speakers. Works like a charm
I received the item right on time, took me maybe 3-5 minutes to set up and add to my existing Sonos system. Sonos Connect ZP-120 Zone player.
These little "white magic boxes" are so simple to set up/configure. I have several of these connects though out the house and just love the ability to control each room independently from each other (not only source selection, but volume output as well). Idiot-proof and highly functional
The set-up takes less than five minutes, expansion is straightforward, the grouping feature is intuitive for more than one amp. They do get quite hot inside the cabinet (that's a well articulated risk on the box, so bear it in mind when deciding the best location), and they're fairly expensive at $500 a clip. That said, I'm very happy with my purchase of five units and they work great. I set them up to connect to existing in-wall speakers all with wiring pre-run to the cabinet location. Since the set up is so easy for amateurs, I wish Sonos sold or promoted a device to determine the correct ohmage of the speakers simply by testing the home run wires. I tried to use a multimeter, but had limited success. It would be nice to know in advance whether the amp is compatible with existing in-wall or in-ceiling speakers without having to take them out of their housings. THIS IS NOT A DEFICIENCY, JUST A PRODUCT ENHANCEMENT REQUEST. My point is that because they're so plug-and-play it would be great to just connect the wires and go.Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : Neuf

Great Sonos Device
This was unbelievably easy setup, Just plug it in and program. Set up went very smooth. I had a whole house speaker set up installed when the house was built 16 years ago. The system had Seven speakers (Wired). This unit is running all of them flawlessly. I replaced my CD Player, Radio, and Amp. with this one little box. Simply the best and easiest set up ever
These are superb and so easy to setup. Make sure in the app that you shut off audio compression. with compression on, the audio sounds "tin-y" and not great. Shut that off and you're back to perfection. I have one of these outside controlling my hard wired speakers and a beam inside. So simple to control them and have them at altering volumes. Quality piece of gear.

Sonos ZP120
Great item. Love the Sonos system. The ZP120 amp is an addition to my existing system to incorporate ceiling speakers in a room previously driven by a tall stack of stereo components. Now we can just open the Sonos app on our phones, select the new zone and listen to whatever we'd like. Important - if buying a used unit, because it was previously connected to another system, wifi, etc., it will need to be hard-wired (via Ethernet cable) to your router (or bridge or boost, if applicable) temporarily during the initial set-up process. Once completed, the unit may be moved wherever desired and will work wirelessly with your network (so long as in range). Great hardware, great software. Limited lifespan?
I have many of these units and have been using them for 6+ years. Each room has its own AMP, connected to speakers installed in the ceiling. Perfect sound quality, great software .. I generally use the iPhone app, sometimes the desktop app. Sonos forms its own wireless network, so each unit serves as a repeater to extend the range of the system .. my AMPs are spread out more than 100 feet and through half a dozen interior/exterior walls with no issues. I have never experienced any problems with any of the AMPs themselves. At one point AT&T upgraded my home gateway/router and it was incompatible with Sonos .. I bought a basic ethernet switch and everything is fine now. Highly recommend these AMPs. UPDATE: after approx. the 6 year mark I am starting to see my units fail. I lost 2 of 6 amps (different locations in the house) in the past 3 months. One no longer powers on, the other no longer works on wifi only Ethernet. Sonos support was unable to help (said the wifi "went bad", outside of 1 year warranty, offered 30% off a new $500 AMP.
