love shimano, only have 14
this is great reel. have 20 yr old curado that still works and this one is better. the dc braking is great and the drag very good. the reel seat is shorter?? the reel just works. not fishing for cats but 1st day out landed 43.56lb flat head and the reel worked great. the reel is light and feels great.

Best reel I have used so far
It's a bit bigger in size but it's an absolute dream of a reel. This reel is absolutely incredible. Smooth and casts a mile with the DC assistance. Takes the cake over all my other high quality reels.

Once you use the DC, it's hard to go back to the manual braking system.
Using the DC makes long casting a breeze. Great reel.
