Product Information

The Shimano Calcutta CT400 is a power handle replacement crank for Shimano bait-casting reels. This handle will replace any Shimano handle on an aluminum reel for most models. The body of the handle is made from durable anodized aluminum that has a golden color. The end grip is rubberized for comfortable handling, and the handle is balanced to provide cranking leverage. The handle easily connects with one end screw.

    A must change.

    I had used the original double retrieve handle for years, but heard the power handle makes it easier to cast heavy lures. Absolutely correct! Just finished a week in Canada fishing for muskie and it was a noticeable difference in retrieve. Highly recommend the change.

    Shimano parts. Good price

    This handle has the smaller hole to mount on the shaft, but I new that. Being capable of making modifications I got them anyway and made it fit the 8mm shaft that the Calcutta 400te has. Works great, these are Shimano parts.

    This works great!!

    Buy this don’t buy the black one you see running around on the internet, those have a unbalanced handle it is so thick that the nut will not tighten down and then handle keeps coming loose. It stripped the shaft and had to order a new one, I ground the handle down now it’s too flimsy,beware. Have use this handle quite a bit and have not had any problems and it handles the double blade great. Happy Muskie fishing

    Awesome power handle

    Feels well built and strong. Looks great on my older Calcutta 400. A big improvement over the stock paddle handle for my Saltwater applications. Highly recommend.

    Fits Curado 300 DSV

    Fit my Curado 300 DSV perfectly. Only thing is you have to break off the little plastic piece from the handle nut cover to make it fit. No problem. Works great.

    Power handle for small Bass reel.

    Fits perfectly on my Curado 300DSV. Handle has counter balance weight on the handle. So when you cast the reel it does not go into gear from free spool. I believe Shimano list price is $49.99 plus tax. Very satisfied with the product.
