New but not recent
I got this to try and revitalize my Galaxy S8, that I got in 2017 and is still working but whose battery life has degraded to the point that it only lasts about a day on light to moderate use. This product is a legit S8 battery, and it will work. BUT I was hoping for an S8-compatible battery manufactured in maybe 2021 that would perform comparably to a new OEM battery. What you'll get is an actual OEM battery made around 2017. That means it's an old battery that's degraded to the point that it's not much better performance-wise in 2022 than the one you're trying to replace. It does indeed look new as in "not used before", but not new as in "recently manufactured". If you are trying to extend the life of your S8, don't get this, take a gamble instead on some of the other batteries listed that are compatible, more recently made, and possibly have even better capacity than the OEM. I should have read more of the reviews, as several of you out there did try to warn others about this situation. If you are, however, trying to fix a broken phone and need a battery that will work for an S8 whose battery is not currently working, then this is OK and will work. Just be aware the performance is not going to match a truly newly made battery. As the seller at least charged a low price, I'm not going to bother with a return, but I agree with the reviewer that said swapping out the battery is too much work if you're going to just get comparable performance.Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : Neuf

Deteriorated battery, waste of money
Very fast delivery, but the product isn't what is expected at all! Battery quality is very poor, the guy that has changed it told the battery was very old, and he doubted very much that it is original-genuine. However, after couple of days using it I noted that the battery was working the same as my old one which was deteriorated. Immediately my Samsung phone showed that battery has failures and is deteriorated. So, don't buy it if you don't want wasting your money. Not a brand new battery
This "new" battery was actually removed from a store display phone, so technically it is a used battery. It works okay so far (about 2 weeks), but doesn't hold charge for as long as a brand new battery.Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : Neuf

Works well, too cold to work on its own.
The battery is in good shape when shipped, and the product does work when plugged in while charging. The problem is that the phone is too cold to charge and stay running on its own. Not sure if it's the battery that is too cold or the phone that is unable to run in operational temperature to charge the battery. Was skeptical but

Weak sauce
This "new" battery did indeed look like it had not been used. Unfortunately it's date of manufacture was 3 months older than my OEM battery I was replacing. Meaning this battery was 3.5 years old. Unfortunately it performed even worse than the one I replaced. It holds a charge for 5-6 hours with normal use. Just What I Needed
These batteries can be fairly tricky to install so I would recommend having a service install this if you are not familiar with the procedures for removing the back glass and antennae for the inside of your phone. Good Replacement.
I had the swelling of the original battery on my S8 and wasn’t ready for a new phone. There are lots of videos in how to change it. Works great, exact replacement of what it had. Noted this is new old stock. It was dated 2017 but charges and works great.Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : Neuf

Not OEM and battery life percentage is inaccurate
Battery life is no different from my 2.5 year old original battery. This battery is not OEM. Battery percentage is not consistent, drains quick from 100 to 85%, slows down till 40 to 2%. Last 1% would last 30min plus before cuts out. Not worth the hassle to swap.Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : Neuf
