Worth the buy.
I've only had it for about a week and so far so good. It is holding a charge for over a 24 hour period with moderate use. Way better than the non-OEM brand I purchased about a year ago for $10. That one wasn't any better than the original old worn out battery I had in my phone. Because of that experience I hesitated till now to order this battery when I had no other choice than to either take a chance with this battery of shell a few hundred dollars for another phone. I was a good choice.

Not the same as original
The battery was too dead to power on my phone when it arrived, which was fine. Even after charging for 2 days on an external charger it never indicated that it was fully charged, which was strange. After using it in my phone for the first time, at least now it does indicate a full charge when the cycle is complete. However, it has about the same life as 2 other batteries I have that are 2 years old. I was hoping for new battery life, when I could go all day on 1 charge. I get about 1/2 day from 100% charged. So, this has become my 3rd spare battery, rather than the primary battery I was hoping for, and expecting.

easy to install without any tools
It seems to have cured all of my phone issues. Easy to install. There are several versions of the Samsung S5 so make sure you get the correct size of battery. The only reason I didn't give this battery 5 stars is that it has only been in the phone for 1 month. Oh and it was a great price.

The add states that it is an OEM Samsung battery. The only way to know if it is a Samsung and not a counterfeit is the ask Samsung. Asians make wonderful OEM and counterfeit batteries. I don't care which I get as long as it will hold a full charge. I have a wall mounted battery charger. I take the battery out of the phone and stick it in the charger and after charging this battery will only charge to 88%. I also have a charger with a USB cable that is from Samsung for the Samsung Galaxy S5, it came in the Samsung box. Using that charger it will only charge to 91%. So you have to make a decision whether you want a battery that charges to an average of 90% or 100%. You don't want to have to pay for the shipping twice. The seller may not know whether their battery is an oem or counterfeit.

Works well!
Updated review 7-23-20: changing 3-star to 4-star. I realized why this battery was not holding a charge. I have no service on the phone and use it only for a camera and alarm clock at this time. I was leaving the phone on all day and it was roaming, looking for a signal and wearing down the battery. I changed it to Airplane mode, and now the battery lasts for several days. Original review: It doesn't hold a charge as long as the original. The original battery was amazing. Maybe it was manufactured years ago and has been sitting around a long while. It's a good value for the very low price. I didn't want to pay $35-40, but you get what you pay for.

Nice battery replacement for Samsung S5.
This looks EXACTLY like my OEM battery that was in the phone, great deal! My old battery seemed to be running low rather quickly, so I purchased this one. Seems to last a little bit longer, but nothing real significant. My phone was a hand-me-down, so I really don't know how it performed when new. Hard to judge this new battery since I've only had it a short period of time. But if yours is completely bad, I would highly recommend this purchase. It works very well. Some reviews indicate it's not so great, but I'm very satisfied. Took a long time to get to me, thought it was lost in the mail somewhere.

Great Replacement Battery
I have ordered other batteries before for my older Samsung Galaxy S5 cell phone and the ones made in China to the OEM specs did not perform well. This battery is the OEM brand that is made in Korea. It charges fully and lasts for a normal amount of time before needing a recharge. Also, it does not die quickly and shut down my phone. It actually goes into power saver mode and alerts me.

Disappointed
Battery life is no better than my not-quite-2-year-old used battery. It doesn't last an entire day, even with only medium use...I don't stream music or movies, and text more than call. Was hoping for something better without moving to the high capacity battery that adds weight and depth to the cell.

Why can't I find a good replacement battery?
This was my fourth attempt to find a good replacement battery for my 2 year old Samsung Galaxy s5 phone. I thought a genuine Samsung, NEW battery would surely work like the original battery, but it doesn't. It just won't perform and keep a charge like a new battery should. Can't even make it through one day's low-normal use. Waste of time and money to keep trying out these replacement batteries, to no avail. But I don't want to get a new phone, either, so what else can I do?

Good Value; Not a Great Battery
It functions as advertised, but it does not have nearly the storage capacity of the original OEM battery. Loses its charge in about half the time of the original. My advise is to take advantage of the great price and buy two batteries.
