The X/Y configuration enables the SVM to capture the true ambience of the recording space, while still offering a high level of rear rejection and low noise. Powered by a standard 9v battery, the SVM also offers a power status LED, a high pass filter switch and pad to match most cameras imputs. Good but I'd suggest getting the newer model.
I personally don't like how the mic has a wobbly 4 pole connection to the mount that makes the entire mic move around. Terrible isolation idea. I'm going to try and use spacers to make it stand straight up. Sound quality is ok.Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : Occasion

I've been using this model of mic on YouTube since September 2013 in all kinds of sever weather conditions -30°C to +35°C, even damp locations but be care to not get it wet. the dead kitten does help direct rain hit the mic but no good if dead kitten gets soaked. the sound is amazing, true HD stereo and next to no wind noise even standing on the side of windy lake which I do many times a week. I've picked up wild life sounds at the swamp as far as 900 feet away, amazing piece of equipment, and if you register it with RODE you get a 10 year warranty.
