Review Results On 95 Honda Civic 1.5L with 200K Miles Blown Head Gasket
Car - 1995 Honda Civic 1.5L Automatic Miles - 200,000 plus Problem - Had a blown head gasket, blew white smoke out of the back and had an intermittent misfire. Results From Using Blue Devil - I followed the directions exactly, removed the thermostat, drained the coolant, put in water, added the correct amount of blue devil product, ran the engine at idle for slightly longer than instructed which ended up being 1hr. The white smoke did go away substantially but it was still there. Still had a slight misfire every now and again but not as frequent. Problems/Issues - After using the blue devil product I ended up having a major water pump leak right after the 1hr idle time. Not sure if this was due to the blue devil or not but it seems suspect. Credentials - Master ASE Certified Technician/ Shop Owner. Recommendations/ Future Thoughts - I would definitely recommend doing the job right and replacing a blown head gasket before using any “bottle” fix. However this was a good option due to the miles on the car and the lack of funds available from the customer. I was impressed that it actually made a difference in the coolant consumption. I am going to replace the water pump/timing belt next and re-add the remaining bottle of Blue Devil when I refill the coolant again. Good product l would buy more if necessary
Worked as label claimed. Be sure to follow directions about flushing radiator out. Be sure to put in the right amount for the gallon size of the radiator. So far so good. Been about a month of regular driving. I think my problems began with the fan clutch then the water pump. Bought this kit for a heater core leaking and old motor that had been sitting for a while, Installed as directed with flush and clean water, then as directed put in sealer and worked great no leaking heater core and car runs just at right temp. Easy to use and great product, have used Blue Devil rear main seal in my hotrod with a real bad leak and sealed it right up, nothing better on the market hands down.

Worked great for me.
Have a 07 Subaru Legacy that started getting coolant in the oil. Didn't have the money for rebuild or new engine. Decided to try this as a last resort. I was using 1-2 quarts of coolant every 2 days. Buying time at a reasonable price.
It will buy you time. 6 months the first use. for me. We shall see how long the head gasket holds this time. Bottom line, an old work car can keep on going. Nothing to lose if the head gasket is blown. Worked well enough for me. The better the flush the better the hold. Unfortunately, this product didn't work on my car since the head gasket was past the point of repair due to a a major leak. THE BEST BY FAR
I loved it, and so will you I really didn't think it would work . Two of my friends told me about it , and they didn't know each other either. Anyway I doughted all I heard until I finally bought it and tried it.. It really does work on my Ford F-350 7.3 engine , it worked and worked well . This stuff does what it says guarantee you that.. I'd give it a 5 but I don't know how long it will last . But maybe I'll get 20,000 Maybe 25,000 if I do I'll make that 4 star 🌟 a 5 star 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 ... Will keep everyone updated as soon as I can . Product did not perform as advertised .
After following the directions to a tee , It didn't work on my 2003 Subaru Forester . I still must add from as much as i/2 gallon to a pint of coolant for each 75 to 100 miles . Permanent Sealer Failed
After reading reviews and recommendations for head gasket sealants, selected the highly rated Blue Devil although it was more pricey. Read and followed the instructions for the Blue Devil Permanent Sealer Head Gasket Sealant. Removed the thermostat as required by the directions. Purchased and used a radiator flush (Prestone) substance; drained and then rinsed the radiator of my 35 hp diesel tractor; and then used the Blue Devil as prescribed, using distilled water and Blue Devil to fill the radiator. This took an extra day because I did not have the radiator flush on hand. After slowly pouring in the sealant, I ran the engine for 50 minutes per the instructions. Did not see any change or evidence that the blown head gasket was sealed. The tractor continues to overheat, running at 80 deg C and moving on up to 100 deg C (212 def F). I lost time and money trying to repair my blown head gasket with Blue Devil. Very disappointed.Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : Neuf
